Heroin clay-like consistency

I once got some heroin that was a slightly off-white and was a clay like consistency. A substance of such consistency should obviously be smoked or injected, but I stupidly snorted it, so I'll never know if it was bunk or not. And it did smell like heroin. Anyway a while ago I was browsing Bluelight and I came across a post where some described getting some bomb ass shit that was like a brown or red clay. So like maybe this off-white stuff I got and the stuff this guy's describing in his post is like a crude black tar related thing. Also both me and him were talking about the east coast. My shit came in a miniature weed bag. I got it in Manhattan.

That's Diacetylmorphine base, i could be wrong but im pretty sure this version is commonly found in europe.

I think tar might be base as well, but tar is the "crude" form not this stuff. Tar is what it is because of skipped steps in the refining process, if i remember correctly.

I don't see any problem with snorting this though.?

Either way tar can be snorted and work just as well as hcl that is snorted.
