really?

I read that totally different to you then.

I did too. She sounds very much like she's trying not to be too judgmental for the sake that YOU did it. But she doesn't exactly sound like she feels the need to do it herself. She mentioned that she'd pray about it, but that's pretty much less than a "maybe".

I know my parents. That message was an "i'm gonna research it a little more but i'm pretty much on board because I trust you" kinda thing. I talked to her on the phone yesterday and she told me she let my dad read the email. After I stressed out and asked how mad he was, she said he actually wasn't mad at all and was looking into it.

Then I found out that my mom has no sex drive because of the anti-anxiety meds and it all made sense ahaha

It's gonna happen.

omg.. that is so exciting. Like seriously this just made my... night. LIke Idk I just can't stop smiling, I think that is the cutest most wonderful thing I've read all day.

Make sure they are researching from good places. You dont want them being scared off by the "it leaves holes in your brain" myths.

Yeah no joke....my mom said they emailed a physician to ask if it was a good idea (oh god) and she showed me the email from my dad of his "research" that was the Google query results for "extacy"...

Needless to say I quickly shot back with the Time article about the treatment of soldiers with PTSD and the Ecstasy Rising special. Some of the stuff in the special might scare them off a little bit but I think it's one of the best pieces of information out there.

Waiting to hear back.

PLEASE try and get her to watch "Ecstasy Rising" with Peter Jennings (it's on Youtube) it's an excellent way to explain how risky MDMA isn't, and it's brought to you by a trusted news source. It also showcases a bunch of pro-MDMA doctors, scientists, and professionals. I really hope your mom chooses to roll. Try and refer her to that Peter Jennings special, and as far as your response, I would be compassionate, not defensive or over-explain yourself. Just soak it in, and tell her you understand her concerns.

You should probably look three posts above...lol

MDMA is not an antidrepress drug, it can make you happy as fuck, but is not the right drug to treat depression. Depression is a fucked up shit, and is very very hard to deal with, she could be even worst after a while...

I think everyone should try MDMA at least once in their life... no one should be diyng without being really happy at least once in their life, but i wouldnt give it to my mom whos depress, may be after she gets over her depression... not while on it.

Uhh I don't really think anyones trying to treat depression with a single dose of any drug lol

A few things for you to consider.

1. Her anti depressant medication may prevent her from rolling at all and even if she stopped which is a really bad idea as that can cause all sorts of problems (I know from first hand experience) depending on which Anti depressant she uses stopping may not enable her to roll anyways as some, specially ssris can make permanent changes to the chemistry in the brain as can be attested to by plenty of our posters over the years who still cant roll 6 months or even a year afterwards.

2. Some anti depressants can be deadly when mixed with mdma specially MDAOs.

3. Stopping using anti depressant medication in order to use mdma, a drug that is generally accepted can cause depression may in fact have the opposite affect in the ensueing days and create major problems. Enough people post here about problems who dont even use anti depressants but someone who is already medsicated for depression well that could spell disaster.

4. If you are entertaining thoughts of not telling them and just spiking drinks or whatever then think again. In most countries that is an offence punishable by a severe prison term or worse if your actions cause an unforseen problem.

In general I am in favour of the idea of older people trying mdma provided they are in good health but in your case I dont think it is likely to have a good ending.

Apart from that if they cant even have sex because its against the church rules or whatever then there is no chance they would entertain the concept of an illegal drug.

Awesome post Mazdan, beat me to the punch. %) OP i would take this advice dude. I dont think this is such a good idea and i can't see one night of mdma fixing all the problems between your parents, best of luck anyways mate.

Well guys, I failed. I just bought 11 capsules of "molly" tonight that were highly suggested to me, and I tested them. Marquis turned completely yellow/orange. All spped/meth.

Worst money I ever spent. Goes to show you, "molly" can be bullshit too.

Just found out what I got was actually Mephedrone. The dealer apologized profusely but swore his shit was good and that it was called Mephedrone and that he was rolling balls off of it. Unfortunately I didn't want Mephedrone...I wanted MDMA. However, after returning all the capsules i'm kinda regretting it...supposedly Meph is good shit. It did turn yellow, just like I am reading Meph becomes in a marquis test.

However, for the intents and purposes of this thread, obviously I need MDMA.

do not give meph TO YOUR MOM!!!

Meph is pretty good looks like, but it aint MDMA... tell your dealer to fuck off... no to mention he screwed you with the price for sure...

Yeah, you still need MDMA. You'll find it, I'm sure. Get rid of that dealer though!!

wtf man.
its your mom.
why would you give your mother a street drug?
think! think!
if anyone were to give my mother a street drug id hang them!
yes you might think it will get rid of the depression but man dont cover up her depression with a street drug.... :O
ppl these days... :S

If you mean give it to them without their consent, then that's absolutely wrong, dangerous and despicable.

However, if you intend to provide it for them after allowing them to research it and make their own decision, that's a different story.

MDMA is not a cure for mental health conditions and can absolutely make them worse. For instance, I have depression/anxiety. A few days after dosing, I become severely depressed, paranoid and argumentative. It's great while I'm rolling, but the after-effects make it almost not worth it. YMMV.

That said, I've thought about dosing my mom (with her consent), but she's been on Prozac for 16 years. Wouldn't work. Dad takes meds too.

I've a couple of friends who's mum's do MD. Mines is pushing on a bit though to offer her some.
