having a hard time hitting the veins. bruises all over my body swallen feet and hands.

tattoo's all the way up my arms so i cant see the veins.

any suggestions

yeah thanks for the advice, worked too :)

whilst im here, what are the repercussions from a collapsed vein?

Mate, you ever tried pulling back on the plunger as soon as the bevel of the needle has pierced your skin?.. This creates a little vacuume inside the syringe so as you advance the needle into you skin, as soon as it go's thru your vein it will plume red, telling you your good to go...
I always use this method, never fucked up a shot since

yeah the only reason i havnt used that method was because i was told it would collapse the vein more often, but if its working for you im thinking this has to better :)

Ugh I am having the same problem! I'd even been on just methadone for a bit but went out yesterday and couldn't hit anywhere! There is no worse feeling than having cooked up your first yummy shot in months and not being able to hit. Oh-the only thing I've noticed since mine have collapsed is my hands and feet are generally cold.

ahhhh yes! nightlight thank you.

drawing before i hit the vein did the trick. i just wish this morphine was more sedating now.

and i read some facts about collapsing veins. the body will just grow new veins to replace the old ones, (one problem with this - the new veins are too small or too deep to IV)

Excellent, im glad that worked for you! Always dose for me.. ;)
Ive never heard of it been bad for your veins, but even if it is, i still think its a better method to be using... Mainly because i believe your much better off hitting the mark on your first or second entry, rather then having to go in and out 5 or 8 times digging around because, you either went in to far, thru your vein totally, or not far enough..

:)

As long as you dont pull the plunger WAYY back it is no prob. I always use that method and don't even have a bruise to show for it. I pull it back JUST far enough to get a lil flash of blood when you are in the vein. I have never collapsed anything even small veins in my hand when doin this.

I am overweight and can hit veins first try. All I have to show is a tiny ass red dot for 24-48 hours after I hit. Google a diagram of veins in the part of your body you are trying to hit in.

\If you got bruises all over your body and swolen body parts you are definitely doin somethin wrong. Have someone hit for you, and show you proper technique.

True, sorry i should of said you only need to pull the plunger back a tiny bit, just enough to see a very small air pocket appear in the bottom of the fit.. Then advance towards your vein untill you see that georgous plume of red...
If that dosent work, withdraw and start again. If you dont hit home on your second attempt, your not lining up with your vein properly, or going in to shallow or to deep... ;)
