Best (and worst) Fast-Food Chain

^^ yea i have heard that talk round here lately

sposedly like a half dozen comin to the metroplex, not sure what the closest one to me will be but as soon as i find out where its at ill most certainly throw up a review
 
As we all agree on five guys, how do you take your burger?

Bacon cheese w lettuce tomatoe mayo is perfection

Worst: Wendy's and Subway

chinky ima hafta agree wit ya bout arbys. i got a sandwich from that places prolly 7years ago and that shit shit was straight up nasty. and whataburger is running real close on being nasty as arbys

A five guys opened up here a little while back, but I haven't gone there because I heard it wasn't that good. The burgers are cooked well done and are dry, the fries are tasteless, it's not a comfortable place to eat, and it's over priced for what you get.
 
Five Guys is just OK IMO. I agree with ya Afterglow, the burgers are overdone but, it's fast food so they kinda have to.

Comparatively it is more expensive than a bk or wendy's but, I feel like you get a whole lot more. The fries are seemingly homestyle (skin on) and the portions are huge. I get the spicy version so I couldn't tell ya about the flavor of the regular ones but, a large is more than I can usually finish with a regular burger (which is actually a double). For about 8 bucks I get more than enough food to feed me being a 6'3" 215 lb fabricator on my most active of days.

I wouldn't say it's the best burger and fries I've ever had by a long shot but, it's certainly better grub than McD's, Burger King, Wendy's or any other chain I've had. I prefer my beef medium but, in the case of fast food I think well done is the way to go.
 
If I want a burger I'm goin to culvers..double bacon butter burger deluxe..you can't touch it

Although sometimes I get a craving for a frisco melt from steak and shake

There's a place here in pilsen on 18th st called pollo express..its not really fast food but you place your order at the counter and take it to go or you can eat in and they serve you with about a 10 minute wait and all it has is like 5 things on the menu but you won't find a better chicken anywhere in chicago..

They serve is whole or half chickens butterflied..adobado flavored or plain chicken that is grilled with real wood...a few differnt sides and that's it..Its a complete dive but get the half adobado chickin with a side of rice and frijoles charros..they come with 2 salsas and a package of hot tortillas for like 8-9bucks..and I promise you will thank me seriously you will thank me..the best is if you go tues-thursday that's when they offer the special which is buy a whole chicken and get a half chicken for free..its enough to feed the family for less then 20bucks and will become your new favorite place to eat chicken and I heard they are gonna start serving carne asada soon so I can't wait to try that but the chicken is better then anything you have ever had
 
Best: Bojangles, best chicken and biscuits in the world
worst: wendy's. They make thier burgers really sloppy and taste like shit.
 
Has anyone else ever eaten at a place called 'Checkers' ? Or that is only a Chicago thing?

edit- Just did a websearch and it appears that they are nationwide.

Did you not read the thread? People have talked about checkers a few times in here I think even onm the last page or 2..

I don't even think they have checkers around here anymore the 2 I knew of closed along time ago..they wernt that good to me

we got checkers here you go furthur upstate and they become rallys. slogan use to be "you gotta eat". well yea no shit if ya dont eat you die i dunno who was the brainchild behind that slogan

pizza hut (has to be all you can eat other wise its worthless)
