so here is another eason to hate pharmacists that think they are more important that glorified fast food workes. i don't know, you put a white lab coat on some of these pricks and they think that they know more than drs. and that they ae there to control people's drug usage. when basically there job is just to take an order, fill the order and answer any questions you might hve that they couldn't answer anyway.

so i get this one overly ambitious new pharmacist today and i'm filling my script for antibiotics and another script for 15 tylenol 3's....some major pain killers. anyway this little pecker notices that i filled a script for suboxone a week earlier. so he decides he is going to have to call the dentist that prescribed the tylenol 3's since he didn't know i was taking them. if he found out then he wouldn't have prescribed them.

so the little nerdy pharmacist went above and beyond his call of duty and prevented a possible script of tylenol to a drug addict. just fill the order and give me my pills your jerk. stop trying to police the precriptions you little do nothing nobody.

so i just skipped the tylenol 3 script. i haven't taken t-3's in years. what if anything am i missing. i am a heavy opiate user by the way. up to 6-8 bags of H a day. but don't take the suboxone.

I HATE anyone who goes over and beyond there normal scheduled job duties, that prevent me or anyone from accomplishing what they need to get done, right then and there. I hope there's a special place in Hell reserved just for them.

if you do 6-8 bags of dope everyday youre not missing much at. all 15 of those pills dont even equal one 80mg Oxycontin pill, and its totally common for people to do 80mg at once. in inject 60mg of oxy IR at once, that would be 12 of the pills right there. only good thing you couldve done with them in CWE and get one or 2 highs. dont feel like you missed much.

the pharmacist was doing his job . they are mandated to scrutinize meds that you are taking in order to head off drug/drug bad reactions .

I get tried on the regular. Partly because I have a past filled with prescription fraud and partly because I only fill dope and get edgey when the pharmacist won't fill it fasst enough or at all. Of course they are dicks, but I'd rather deal with them then not get it all.
And I've been kicked out and banned from places for fighting with a pharmacist so don't think I like them.

lucky for me i have never had any issues....but have had a few close calls filling xanax scripts....

Yeah I do not like you labeling pharmacists as glorified fastfood workers. PharmDs are a bitch to get, and it's a lot of hard work and school to become a pharmacist. While I am not in the medical field, I am currently working on a masters degree and don't appreciate someone putting down someone who has gone through an immense amount of money, education, and hard work to get where they are.

And the "nerdy little pharmacist" did his job. If he didn't check, or gave you the script and it was against policy, he could have lost his job he worked very hard for. And, pharmacist's only job isn't to dispense pills, it's their job to make sure you know the effects of the medications you are taking and how all your medications interact with one another. Of course it's frustrating, but if I was a pharmacist, I would definitely think my job was more important than someone getting a pain script since I didn't follow procedure.

Here too. They're also at the frontline in detecting prescription fraud/abuse here and obliged to take specific actions where they have reason to believe medications are being inappropriately prescribed or obtained. Until doctors here have real time access to information about a patient's recent prescription filling history, the role of monitoring that information will continue to fall largely on pharmacists (as have a number of other unwanted roles which have been foist upon them).

On the lighter side of things, I wish to hell I was a pharmacist.
Then, I could get my OC WHOLESALE!:)

Yeah, I'm sure everyones dealt with dickhead pharmacists. I'm sure everyones dealt with people like that from a doctor to a guy mowing your lawn, to a waiter, to that damn bitch that made my coffee this morning ;) Being an asshole is about the person, not their job. Theres good and bad everywhere, in everything.

Also, OP. Doctors are trained to evaluate symptoms and diagnose the problem, then advise on the correct course of action, or potential options for treatment. A good pharmacist actually knows much more about the pharmacology of drugs/medications, interactions between drugs/meds, how they work and what medication is likely to work best for the problem/illness the doctor has diagnosed you with. They understand the chemistry side of things far better.

It's a stupid game of doctors and pharmacists trying to figure out who has the biggest dick really ;):D

edit: I'll add that most of the time the person who serves you at a pharmacy/chemist is not an actual qualified pharmacist. Usually people studying pharmacy, doing work experience or simply someone with no experience that got the job from an advertisement in the newspaper or where ever.

My doctor got pissed because some fucker gave him all my records from going to 2 doctors. He's a cunt I called him a pos for saying he needed to call my doctor when he didn't whenever th is happens you go in and accidently spill coffee or squirt spray shit on them its going down! Meet me in the walgreens its going down!for real he had no reason to make me wait and I called him so much shit he almost cried when I looked him square in the eye and said hey motherfucker u think I'm an addicr eh your a prick

well turns out the nerdy little pharmacist was just doing what he was told by the insurance company. they are the ones that wouldn't pay for the T-3's. but still the pharmy guy said he could call the dentist and aske him for something else. i told him I WOULD RATHER YOU NOT CALL THE DENTIST AND TELL HIM I"M ON SUBOXONE, I'LL JUST SKIP IT. so what does tha asshole do? calls the dentist to tell him im on suboxone. now the dentist thinks i'm just rying to get pain meds and that i'm a junkie. it was really not his business to call the dentist and tell him, especially since i asked him not to.

well, today i went to my other shrink. she gave me 60 2mg xanx bars. i thought i might have a problem filling them. i went to the local supermarket to get them filled. 15 minutes later the clerk is on the phone with insurance co. seems like insurance won't pay for the xanax because it conflicts with the suboxone. ther must be new rules in place because i've been filling benzos for years. but today she claimed they needed to review it. i had the bottle just inches from my hand. i was going to take about 2 bars today and just forget about all my troubles i'm having. but so close but no bars....yet. the clerk said she would call me after the insurance company reviews the xanax script. they probably won't pay for it. i hope they at least let me pay out of pocket for the xanax. at 45 a bar that's $300 with 2 refills.

does anyone know what 60 2mg generic xanax bars sell for at a pharmacy without insurance? i'll be more thn happy to pay out of pocket.

man i hate insurance compainies. their main goal is to find ways to not pay a cl

in my experiences here in the South, I get 120 oxycodone 10/325s filled every month, I was 2 days early getting my script filled at my doctors (it was a Friday and I happened to be in town since his office is 30 minutes one way from me) so I decided to go ahead and get my script. They must have something in their computers that shows up as getting the meds early... He normally has been soooo cool about giving them to me, then he was sort of a jerk...

After I did successfully get the script, I called several CVS's and just because I was 1-2 days early, no one would fill it but one pharmacist...

bunch of BS.... that was the 29th of last month, so I guess I'll have to wait until the 30th or 1st (I'm having surgery next Friday)...

and those pills for this month by the way, were all stolen by a POS family member...

1 week feels oh so far away...

I suppose I've been lucky? I went in, asked to fill my script early, and I got a typical response about it not being long enough for my Viocodins, I claimed I lost them. It was cleared with insurance very quickly.

I went in with a script that was too early I suppose. It was the date that was obscured, very difficult to read. The pharmacist read it as later than I did, and told me to wait two days. Fine I told her, checked the amount of pills I had and I suppose they like me since they haven't given me shit and haven't shorted me off my pills. Middle aged people most of them, and I always try to make them stop printing paper to save trees. That guy can't be bad can he?
