for anyone that lives in or near philly that buys heroin you might want to stock up. i just heard today that they made the largest bust of heroin in philadelphia's history. i think the total was 7 kilos.....2.3 million worth. something like over 100,000 dime bags.

i just copped a bundle this morning and my dealer didn't say anything but i'm sure there will be a little bit of a shortage for the next week or two.

all powder, i've never seen tar here on the east coast. on tv they showed the kilos wrapped up and they were also showing tools used to break it down. they pulled out a grinder and about 3 or 4 grams of powder fell off it onto the table.

the news in philly is funny because they always get the worst ppl from society to interview. so they went to kensington and interviewed some junkie who was like......it'll put a dent in the flow for a bit but the dope will be flowing just as much in a week. then they interviewd a case worker who said that he sees more ppl nodding out than ever.....meaning that the dope just gets better and better.

the flow of heroin has increased in recent years and it's a direct result of the war in afgahnistan. the taliban at least kept the growers in check, now there is no one to control the fields so in a way the heroin is part of terrorism.

so i couldn't stop thinking about this bust, it's been all over the news. i did a little calculations and here is what i came up with.
7 kilos of raw dope is about 15 lbs.
15lbs is about 240 Ozs
240 ozs is about 6,720 grams
6,720 grams is about 67,210 stamp bags
67,210 stamp bags is about $672,100

that seems a little low so correct me if i am wrong. either way you'd need a huge rubber band to put around that bundle. also, can you imagine the operation they must have had to bag up all that dope? it must have looked right out of one of those corny movies like new jack city.

Recently the busted about 12 to 20 kilos of powder in Memphis,Tenn. area and that has not even made a dent in the heroin traffic here,yet. And Philly is much ,much larger than Memphis with our poulation in the city being only 600-700,000 ish.. they also have tar heroin here,which I have never bought ,but the powder is still available here,and seems to be the same potency as before ,but soon it may be cut to hell, because of that bust of powder recently..no one know exactly how much heroin was seized,it is kinda hush hush thing here still,but I found out it was powder and was anywhere from about 12 to 20 kilos, and thats about all we can find out here,but thats a good amount for Memphis I think,unless we get more dope from multiple places than most citys this size ,which I am thinking we do..

they quoted the street price as 2.3 million but as you can see i broke it down and it was about 1/3 that amount. of course they busted the kilos is green palstic wrapped briks. it wasn't cut yet or packaged. my guess is that these guys deal to the dealers who deal to the ppl that break it down into 1/10 gram stamp bags.
the guys that break it down into stamb bags then sell it by bricks of 1,000 bags to dealers that then sell to the street dealers. i think my guy buys it in 500 bag sleves.
even though they are calling it the single largest bust in philadelphia i doubt it will even put a dent in the traffic. i'm sure someones dealer will be out this weekend but by next week they'll be back up.

some of it might have been specifically for corner sales. i don't know how much open-air sales goes on anymore but back in the day a good spot could sell 5000 bags in a day.

i'm sure someone somewhere is dry but it just goes to show how much dope is flowing through the streets of philly.
they police were crowing about this was the largest bust in the history of philly and that it was going to put a serious dent in the flow of narcotics in the city.

i think the police knew it wouldn't do shit to the cities heroin trade but just made it seem like they were doing something to make the streets safe for the public.
