Opioids Cotton Filters - IV - Vessel Cloggers?

Hey all,

I was told by a doctor that when you use cotton to filter your IV solution, it clugs your arteries and causes them to thicken and harden.

Anyone hear or know anything baout this? I Mean, basically every IVer uses cotton to filter there stuff..

Any safe alternatives to cotton?

That doesn't make any sense.

You use the cotton to prevent things from getting into the needle, nothing extra will go in. You add water, then suck up the water and everything dissolved in it. There's nothing from the cotton that's going to get into you and harden your arteries?

Micron-filters.

Cotton is for pre-filtering.

I'm going to close this thread because I have posted a thread on micron filtration, and using a cotton filter is not going to cause what you described.
