Tiny dose, huge high

I have 10 pills of oxycodone. (I am in Canada, and they are white "TEC" pills, which means 5mg oxycodone/325mg acetimeniphen.

I wanted to try them recreationally to see what all the fuss was regarding percocets. Two days ago I did 1 pill. I thought I felt warm and fuzzy and happier, but nothing much. It could have all been in my head?

So yesterday I did two pills. I felt warm and fuzzy and happier for 30 minutes. And then completely off my head! I felt super-anxious, and super sleepy, and wired. Not at all pleasant. Really on the verge of a panic attack. After two hours I settled down, and relaxed, but was exhausted. (Had a great sleep after though.)

So I am wondering: are these pills simply not for me?

Or is it possible maybe 1.5 pills will do the trick?

I read the mg that people are doing here, and think "How could I possible get so unpleasantly high off of just 10 measily mg of oxycodone?"

Thoughts?

How could we know what drugs are "for you" or not?

Since the rest of this is dosing, I'll send it over to basic drug discussion for you.

Welcome to BL! Hit me up anytime via PM if you have any questions.

well do u ever take pain killers? ive been on pills for a few years, oxycodone 5 mgs actually and it takes like 5-8 to get me high. so i cant have percocets cuz al tha tyenol fucks my stomach up, i get plain oxycodone 5 mgz. there way better. anywayz try taking 3 or 4 of thoze and if u dont like it, maybe their not for u

I know a lot of people, myself included, who find oxycodone to be one of the more 'stimulating' of the opiates/opioids. Because you are non-tolerant to opes of any kind (I'm assuming as much, based off of what you wrote in your post), you probably felt the stimulation moreso than would most people.

Even when my tolerance is at ground zero, though, it takes 20mg at bare minimum for me to experience recreational effects from oxy. Otherwise, it's just a chemical cock-tease ;)

Are you male or female? I have, personally speaking, seen hypersensitivity to combination painkillers like Percocet more in women than in men, but that's not a written rule by any means.

If you are so super sensitive to opiates that 10mg of oral oxycodone makes you feel sick and dysphoric, then count your blessings! Opiate addiction destroys your soul and can, quite obviously, do the very same to your body. That isn't to say they don't have their place in the world of recreation, but I have struggled with opiate addiction for 9 years, have taken nearly every one of the opioids, every form of the opiates, OD'd twice... and it all started with 10mg of Percocet I found in my parents' medicine cabinet when I was in highschool.

Go ahead and try 1.5 of the pills (7.5mg) if you'd like and see if you enjoy it, but yes, it really does sound like these pills are not for you. Might be disappointing but at least you won't ever have to worry about opiate addiction eroding away the foundation of your life!

Good luck and a care of yourself man :)

OP

Was you nervous or anxious before you took the dose?
It almost sounds as if you were about to have a panic attack.
This would certainly "short-circuit" your high.

If this isn't it, then perhaps you are super sensitive to Oxycodone.
If this is the case, it's truly a blessing in disguise.
Oxycodone is a "life destroyer" as many here will attest to.

My suggestion is stay away from opiates, in general.
They are the "ultimate" dead in, period.

could be the apap.....if you can, id try straight OC..........
I don't know this lingo? I am new here.

Do you mean it is the acetominephen?

And "OC "means do straight oxycodone? If so, I don't know how to separate them.

To answer someone else's question, I am male.

As for "counting my blessings", well, there is no reason to assume that I couldn't do opiates recreationally and not get addicted. So a real blessing would be:

1. low tolerence, so I don't have to up dose
2. pleasant effect (euphoria) minimal bad effects
3. the discipline to do them on occasion and not habitually

My guess is most people that enjoy an opiate buzz do not have their lives ruined by it, although my heart goes out to those who do have this "disease".

In my case, I am hoping to find something to combat intermittent anxiety in the workplace.

Thanks for the replies,
Commander B

By the way, no I don't have much experience with pills. (As a couple people mentioned was likely.)

I have tried SSRis and Benzos for anxiety, but never stick with them because I don't like the side effects. I tried a vicodin pill for fun once, but it didn't make me anywhere near as high/anxious as the 2 percocets did a couple nights ago. (Maybe it was the does; don't know how strong the V was.)

I thought I would try the opiate route because I remember when I got my wisdom teeth pulled, I had a happy/anxiety free week due to the meds. But I can't for the life of me remember what the meds prescribed were?

Oxycodone is way too strong of an opioid for one to use and also maintain a normal healthy life. Much easier on Vicodin, as it is not as strong and relatively easy to come off of.

If you're in the US, it's almost always Darvocet (propoxyphene) or Vicodin (hydrocodone), and less frequently, Percocet (oxycodone).

Most likely because, as I mentioned, oxycodone is somewhat speedy for an opioid, whereas hydrocodone is not.

Try taking 1.5 pills then. It seems like you took a little bit too much, and had a small panic attack. It happens to a lot of people when they start with opiates.

I think that 10mg is a good dose if you've eaten, but if it was too much then try less. My first MAGICAL doses were like 12.5mg or 15mg. This was after experimenting to find what I liked.

And as mentioned, it was probably vicodin (hydrocodone) which was prescribed. I like the nod you get a little more, but overall oxycodone is superior, IMO. Try again with a small dose, and do a cold water extraction (google it), to seperate the oxycodone from the apap. It takes 15 minutes and is completely worth it if it is something you want to try.

PS: The people who are taking large doses are addicted, or have been. It takes a while to move up that much in dosage. I started with 10-15mg for a high, and it increased with weekly and daily use to taking 120mg or more. Just stay safe, addiction isn't a joke.
