Opioids Codeine and Hydrocodone Extraction?

I was wondering....i know its possible to do an acid/base extraction to extract codeine from various pills, is it possible for the same extraction to extract hydrocodone and if so does anyone know the solubilities in certain solvents. Thanks to all. :| <- he's knodding hard lol

I misunderstood and thinking the OP just wanted to do a CWE, closed this thread originally and redirected him to CWE resources.

Since this is asking about extracting more out then just the APAP I'm reopening it with my apologies for closing it originally.
 
Dissolve pills in dH2O, filter. Shake up the insolubles with a bit more dH2O and filter again. Combine filtrates. If there isn't any acetaminophen, then you could just evaporate and get the highest possible yield.

Otherwise, basify to pH 12 with diluted aqueous NaOH, shake with chloroform or dichloromethane, add some brine to help separate the layers. Collect organic layer. Repeat shaking and separation twice more with successively smaller portions of solvent. Dry the combined solvent extractions with anhydrous magnesium sulfate. Filter and evaporate solvent to yield freebase product. Dissolve in toluene, add some isopropyl alcohol which has been gassed with HCl. Cover mixture and put in freezer. Wait overnight and then filter your white crystalline product. Put the powder under vacuum or under a heat lamp to get rid of the residual toluene and HCl.
