SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Marijuana, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: PCIO) is proud to announce and acknowledge the decision of the Israeli Health Ministry committee on medical marijuana for recommending last Wednesday that Marijuana be added to the list of medicinal drugs. The next step is to form an inter-ministerial committee to resolve open questions. If the recommendation is accepted by the ministry it should be available in pharmacies in Israel within six months.

Medical Marijuana committee head and, until recently, the sole authorized medical marijuana prescriber in Israel, Dr. Yehuda Baruch, made the recommendation saying that Medical Marijuana is helpful for multiple sclerosis, patients undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, and for the relief of chronic pain. Baruch said the announcement is just the latest step in Medical Marijuana's march to acceptance in Israel. Up until September, only Dr. Baruch had been authorized to prescribe Medical Marijuana. But the Health Ministry announced that month that five more doctors will be allowed to prescribe.

The number of Israelis who have been prescribed Marijuana may be as high as 2,000. A Health Ministry official estimated that, with the lessening of the prescribing bottleneck, the number could increase to 5,000 by year's end and tens of thousands in the future.

420 RESORTS

Marijuana, Inc. is currently developing "Hemp Harbor," a unique 420 friendly destination of education and recreation on the shores of Clear Lake, CA which will be offering classes in many 420 related topics including marijuana cultivation in a "hands-on" classroom taught by seasoned northern California growers. Hemp Harbor also features dining and water sports in a marijuana friendly environment as well as a hemp boutique selling an entire array of hemp products, including those from Medical Marijuana, Inc.'s newest division "The Hemp Network" ( www.thehempnetwork.com/marijuanainc) and ( http://www.marijuana-incorporated.com). Initial planning for a series of hotel purchases is being considered and negotiations for the first one are currently underway. The proposed resort hotel would be marijuana friendly and contain a restaurant and large outdoor entertainment area and will be in close proximity of Hemp Harbor, and a place for students from around the country to stay while taking classes and enjoying other activities at Hemp Harbor.

Wow, Never took into consideration places in the middle east legalizing medical marijuana.. Better late than never. Hopefully all the countries around the world will legalise it like dominoes ! :)

wow a country that doesnt have there shit together has there shit together

Oh man now the blood thirsty Muslim savages in the middle east will have yet another reason to want to kill innocent Israelis

Isreal is actually one of the leaders in the MMJ field, in terms of medical treatment, guidelines, measured dosages and the likes. Its been steadily proving itself over the years and now looks like its finally becomming excepted.

i beg to differ. if yer selling hash, or pot (which is a lot harder to find, at least good quality), the gov't gets on to you in a minute. they wait for a high holiday then storm your house. it has happened to my brother twice, and to numerous people he knows.
how ever, for scripts, if you look hard enough, like anywhere in the world, you can get what yu want

I might be wrong but I thought I read that you don't really get in that much legal trouble for small personal amounts of most drugs.

Can we not make this into a Arab - Israel conflict for once? Jesus christ. On the said topic; good for Israel...progressive.

Israel is also oddly enough more friendly to their LGBT population than their Arab population as far as social norms. I.e gays in the military, yet Arabs arrested and tried for lies to Israeli women that they were Jewish....

as for progressiveness, israel has probably the best military in the ME, lots of technology they invented, a good quality of life - legalizing drugs pot for 'medicinal' purposes... kind of non-progressive imo. i know i'm going to contradict my other post, but it's just like opiates, another way for people who medically don't need it to get high. another suffering addict in the making..

I was not speaking on anything BUT the said title that Israel is legalizing marijuana. Isn't this a bit absurd that we turn every Israeli or Arab story and twist it it around into their conflict? Can we put the gun down for one second?!

I can not deny the fact that I have allegiances to Israel. With that being said, I am not blind to their inconsistencies as a nation. So, please, spare me the trite about how they treat others. I am well aware Israel has their issues as does every other nation. Show me a nation that has a clean closet and I'll lead you in the direction of the fountain of youth.

No doubt! Isreal has been a leader in cannabis, cannabanoid world research. In fact, I believe it was an Isreali that discovered the Anamide receptor.

Plenty of countries have committed atrocities in their past, not so many continue to do so on a daily basis. Probably made worse by the particularly ironic nature of the atrocities in question.

THC was first isolated in Israel, in 1964- by 3 Israelis. I learned that from Botany of Desire, I believe. good documentary.
