[Melb] EGA 2010 Psychedelic Symposium Dec 4-5- Rick Doblin headlining – Melb Uni

Hey Pacman, you got it going on, you might wont to go from EGA strait to the Rainbow serpent dance floor, advance mission and warmed it up for us too :)

Less than two weeks to EGA, now I am getting pumped for the annual plant head pilgrimage to Victoria

Students keep in mind that concession is still only $135 why tickets last.

Lunch wouldn't be a good idea as there is a LOT happening during the day at the Symposium. There is post conference drinks on the last night. The details are on the mailing list.

Why the hell not go out for a drink or something afterwards it'd be good to meet people with the same hobbies/interests. I won't know a soul there so I'd like that :)

There will be lots of others in the same position as you so don't stress, you will find that the people there are incredibly inviting and accepting. I went to my first meet up alone and came out with a lot of new friends.

I'm in the same situation as well, long time lurker and pretty isolated when it comes to this sort of thing. Looking forward to actually meeting up with others with similar interests. Pity they didn't publish the timetable earlier, I'm going to have to miss the last session which is one of the ones I'm most interested in :\
 
I have to giggle at the thought of us attending a psychedelics symposium and going out for drinks. I do love a beer though and I'm certain that there will be many meet ups taking place on the Saturday night :)

It needs to be on a long weekend. It would be good to spend friday/saturday getting our psych discussion on and then all head out the road to a big bonfire and doof :D

That is the beauty of the bi-yearly outdoor event. Be sure to take the Monday off so you can stay for the wonderful Sunday night show next year. I had a magical experience last year. Got to chat to Stanley "the bear" Owesley (formerly of "the family") while watching fire twirlers perform in front of lovely installation art and listening to nice cruizy tunes. The perfect ending to a perfect weekend.

Don't stress about not knowing people. Everybody is friendly and accepting of new comers. I knew a fair few people last year, but spent most of my time talking to new friends.

Once you get me yacking about psychs it's hard for me to stop and I'm always up for making new friends. Looking forward to meeting a tonne of like minded people once again this year.

Yeah got that info off mailing list but have to be at station about 9:30pm to get last train home so that rules me out. :p

+1 to Psilo's idea to have it on a long weekend and head out Sunday nite to catch up!
