If someone tried opium and has a slightly addictive personality (gets addicted to one in 10 things at best) what would be the odds of them being addicted immediately?
it would be impossible to be physically addicted with just one use of opium....even mentally i have a hard time seeing....however, if it is loved and then continually used, addiction will occur.....
the first time you may believe your mentally addicted (your not), it will be easier to stop now then any other time...
I'm just gonna guess that you're talking about mental dependence.
Assuming they've never done anything similar before, once they've smoked it (or what ever) they will always have the feeling it gives off instilled into their mind, constantly sitting back there reminding them how amazing it was. (That is if they indeed had a good experience from it and enjoyed it, not sure why they wouldn't of)
I've had stuff I've only wanted to try once, but I ended up falling in love with how the feeling was so much that I ended up doing it over and over again, which in return lead to dependence.

So it's best just to stay away from the stuff?
