okay so i plan on rolling this halloween, and im stoked. i have always had troubles getting to sleep in general not just with rolling but regular sleep also. i have some amitriptyline and i read on the recreatonal drugs and antidepressants thread and it said that there would be no negative interaction and i just want to confirm this. amitriptyline is used as a sleep aid so i was thinking that if i had some trouble sleeping after my night that i would just take one to help me sleep. anybody see any problems with this?

isnt amitriptyline Elavil? which is a SSRI as far as i knew.

it is elavil but its actually a TCA (tricyclic antidepressant)

Here is a a report on a death from MDMA plus amitriptyline, a tricylic antidepressant:

yeah i had read that article but thats talking about taking 3 pills in a night, and regularly using amitriptyline, im talking about taking one pill, and then once i wanna go to sleep taking some, so most likely after the effects have worn off, also i wont be out clubbing so cardiovascular risks wont be much of a factor.

I know what you're saying, and I'm saying there is a risk involved. I personally wouldn't toy with it -- even at the end of the night. I'd just get some gravol to knock myself out. To me it's not worth the risk. You asked a question, I supplied an answer =) I don't feel comfortable enough saying "yes" to something that is potentially harmful. It's simply not harm reductive

yeah i guess so, cause it could happen i guess, i will just smoke a lot of weed cause i find other then benadryl it really makes me feel shitty, even with low doses, thanks for the help
