Now to make sure that no-one decides to have a fucking wedding on that night. Will have to check when my mates bucks night is (his wedding is the next weekend, so potential clash), but I'll be there if I can :)
 
By LE i meant law enforcement, I believe a couple years back a BL meet got raided by cops but maybe im being to cautious =)
 
Well if you meet somewhere for dinner and drinks, or maybe just drinks, and don't bring drugs, that's not really an issue.

anyone like absinthe? the absinthe salon is awesome, but limited size...
 
If we get our shit together it shouldn't be a problem...? Perhaps I'm being optimistic :)
 
Yeah, there's generally a difference between stated attendance and attendance :) It's a 3 drink limit and it closes at 10PM so it would be cool to have a drink or two there and then head to somewhere else it Surry Hills. Not sure how annoyed they will be if people don't turn up.

The review I read said it is necessary to make a booking, though their answering machine just says it's recommended for a Friday or Saturday night.

P.s Isn't Absynthe another myth?
 
Haha no post count requirement. Absinthe as a hallucinogen is a myth though it has a high alcohol content. Anyway I'll ring when they're open tonight and sus it out.
 
Rem some of us might need to spend some time at the beautician/gym/witchdoctors before hand even if its only to try n put back some of the things that have fallen off lately ^_^

Ok, so they would need a few weeks notice regarding a booking for a Friday night. Also the lady requested that if numbers were to change they needed a few days notice (so they're not turning people away when there is room - fair enough).

They only serve Absinthe, no other drinks, and they have some from a few different countries in Europe. Waiters help you choose drinks and discuss them etc. if you're interested. It's open from 4-10PM, there is finger foods etc. to buy but no actual meals. Drinks range from around about $12-$20 but they're at least 2 standard drinks each. There is a 3 drink limit per person.

So, it actually sounds kind of cool, I would definitely be in. Thoughts?

We could just organise it for like 6:30 to 8 or something and go somewhere else in Surry Hills afterwards/meet people not keen on Absinthe then.

Ok wicked. There's a max. of 12 people for a booking 'cause there's only 25 seats in the place. I'm happy to book it mid-November so anyone who is keen say so! Please be pretty definite on wanting to come though.

If anyone else has a suggestion of a bar to go to after, or for anyone who doesn't want to go to the absinthe place to meet earlier...
