Hi! My name is Carlos, I Live in northern Mexico. Like to play with downers, specially benzos. Been frustrated lately because of the tolerance thing :!
Been a long time reader and visitor, finally decided to join.
Decided to join mostly because I would like to help other people like many of you have, so I hope I can be useful with my little knowledge.
Son of two surgeons, I'm very interested in medicine, psychiatry, and other subjects not relevant to this community.
I've been on 30 different psicoleptics during the past year thanks to my psychiatrist. Started with ativan (by my own =P), I was diagnosed GAD.
I like to try new medicines: nootropics, antihistaminics, potentiators, benzos, nonbenzos, etc.
If you wanna know something else about me just ask (=

Welcome to Bluelight :D

I'm you've decided to stop lurking and join. It's much more fun posting rather then just reading all the time. You should check out our Other Drugs forum if you haven't already. I think that you'll really enjoy that one alot. It's great to have you as a member of the community and I hope to see you around the forums :)

I've always wanted to ask someone that actually lived in Mexico instead of all the people from the US that each have a different story. Prescription drugs there, from what I gathered you go to the farmacia and they can give you stuff OTC that would be scripted in the US. Like Ativan, Xanax Klonopin etc. How does it work if you need pain meds? I also heard that gringos get a totally differently than the locals. Think you might be able to help me sort it out a bit? Thanks man and welcome to BL.

yes it's totally different for tourists, specially in the border cities, there are "specialized" cities like Tijuana or Ciudad Juarez (San Diego and El Paso), or touristic cities (like Cancun, Acapulco and Rocky Point) where you can buy anything, if you're a local you would just need to "convince" the pharmacist. In other cities farther than the border it's a bit more complicated (you have to buy them ilegally, ie. 2mgs of Clonazepam = $2USD) and if you wanna buy them then you are asked to bring a "receta controlada" which means a Controlled Receipt, and not every doctor has them, and even the ones who have them are closely monitored by the federal health secretariat and the federal police.
That's the case for psycholeptics.
Opioids and pain meds are not very popular among the users and are mostly used in hospitals but the system works the same for both.
Hope I cleared your doubts =D

Hiya Charles...isn't this site amazing? It blows me away that tourists can walk into a pharmacy and buy virtually anything they want without a script. Is the quality better/different from street drugs? I had a neighbor, in her sixties, who made a 1500 mile trip twice a year to load up on all their (legit) meds...she swore by it :)

I just got off benzos! (clonazepam), now I'm just waiting for wd effects to totally dissappear, as panic comes now and then.
SSRI's, SNRI's and Wellbutrin never helped me. Tramadol did the trick.
