Legality of manufacture or sale of drug testing kits in Australia

Qld Possession of drug testing kits is not an offence
ACT There is no criminal statute relating directly to the manufacture, sale or use of
the kits.
Tasmania Unless the kits contain a chemical which is itself subject to controls, no
offence would be committed in their manufacture.
NT It is not illegal to buy the kits in the shops or to possess them.
SA It is not illegal to manufacture drug testing kits in Australia.
NSW There is no legislation dealing with the manufacture, sale or possession of the
kits.
Victoria The sale, possession and use of these kits are legal in all states of Australia.
WA It is not illegal in WA to be in possession

I'd be very surprised if anything had changed on it, and lots of people commonly get test kits so it shouldn't give you any unwanted visits =)

Sorry it has changed, that was the 2001 laws the 2005 is

Qld QPS has no policy of tolerance in this area.
ACT There is no criminal statute in the ACT which relates directly to the
manufacture, possession, sale or use of drug testing kits.
Tasmania If an offence was committed there would be no tolerance and the matter would
be treated like any other.
NT It is not illegal to buy or possess the kits. NT Police would look very seriously
at any use of them in a public place.
SA SAPOL does not support their use at the present time.
NSW Given that drug testing kits are a relatively new phenomenon legal and law
enforcement issues regarding persons operating testing stations at dance parties
or at other venues require further clarification. There is currently no discretion
guideline in relation to drug testing kits.
Victoria It is not illegal to buy or possess the kits but Victorian police would not show
tolerance to anyone using the testing kit to test drugs for other people.

I'm pretty sure thats not a problem. I think no policy of tolerance means they don't have a policy therfore not a crime.

Not certain though, can someone else back this up?
 
Last time I tried to get the from some shops they said they weren't selling them anymore. I'm sure some still would, but there not at every off ya tree like they should be FFS it's a safety tool.
 
Don't order from ez Test whatever you do.

They are sending out of date kits about 6 weeks late, and they are uncontactable.
Basically turned scammers.

They also sent it without using ground mail. So basically their idea of harm reduction is pretty lame. Those chemicals aren't supposed to be on a plane.

List your complaints here and I will bring them up with the owner. I was speaking to the owner yesterday so contact isn't an issue.

How do you know the kit was out of date? How much did they "scam" you?

We need to know this kind of information as we have been sending people there to buy kits.
 
They're just lazy as. They also removed their mobile number from the site (which they never picked up anyway). A bunch of mates got ripped with out of date $70 full kits. The 5 set ones. Then they got chem gen sets. Not as good as the enlighten ones but what can you do.

In one case I heard of the marquis tester liquid was already dark and out of date straight out of the post pack. They had no experience on testing kits, and some MDMA newbies ending up ingesting dangerous pills that made them volently ill for days, as they saw the pill scraping turned dark looking near black, but it was the marquis liquid! They just dropped it on a plate with the scraping and then looked at the insert which said black = good.

I think pill testing kits are pretty useless these days anyway. I'd rather do a pill test, then lick it, then try snorting a tiny line of the pill to know it contains MDXX.. but I don't do pills because they're all shit.

A more anonymous way is to pay cash for a kit at a local sex shop or drug paraphernalia shop and ditch the receipt.

The problem is that I don't know of any retail shops that sell the full complete 5 test kit let alone store their reagents in the fridge. That's just me though, does anyone else know anywhere retail that sells the complete kit?
