I have watched it on 2c-i before.....but it was online and the quality wasn't that great. Cool movie though.

That's not even really at all related.
"Has anyone ever driven along the Pacific coast? Was it worth it?"
"I have walked down a street before... it wasn't that great. Cool scenery though."

I personally don't trip out on anything digital (except certain phones) so I can't really give a proper answer. I know I could be tripping my ass off on mush, and everything is one giant hallucination except for maybe my television. It's good if you're having an overwhelming or bad trip, but not if you're planning on watching "drug movies" and tripping balls.

tl;dr some people (most I know) don't trip while watching movies/television.

It is something you'll most likely have to test yourself. It's a good movie, and with the proper setup and dose you might find yourself lost in it.

I don't like to watch films/TV when on shrooms. I think it's a waste. I'd rather be out gasping in awe at mother nature and ting.

This.

If I do find myself tripping on television (7-10 grams of good mushrooms) I am usually at the point where I begin to experience level-4 and level-5 trips and the ability to focus on one thing (espescially television) becomes impossible. I would much rather do a smaller dose (perhaps 3 grams?) and go for a walk through my cities trail system.

If you have a good amount of disposable income then you shouldn't have to worry about this though. Experiment over a few weeks/months until you find what YOU like doing. Where you like going, and what you like doing when you're going. Who you like to be with, if anyone. Just fuck around with every variable possible until you figure things out on your own.

Mate... tis the season to be jolly...
No need to buy. Go pick!

I wish I could, but I live in the middle of the city (with no transport to anywhere else) and I have no idea which ones to pick. I'd probably pick something excessively posionous. :(

It seems like tons of people go "mushroom hunting" or "mushroom picking" (many of these people are people that I know definitely do not have mycology knowledge at all)...

So how dangerous is it to do this? I hear people say they do it ALL THE TIME, in cow field, etc. and have great times.

Then I hear others say, "Unless you know EXACTLY how to identify the species of mushroom, it is very risky to go mushroom hunting. Many poisonous species also bruise blue like Psilocybes"...

So, those of you on this forum that do it, how do you do it? How do you ID the mushrooms? How analytical of the mushroom are you before drying and eating them? What do you look for? What do you want to make sure is NOT present (what not to look for) that could be indicative that it is not psychedelic but in fact poisonous? Do you have knowledge of mycology, or do you just eat them if they bruise blue and "look like psilocybes"?

I'm really curious to know this information. Just HOW dangerous is it to go out to a cow field,. pick mushrooms, and eat them (without closely analyzing and identifying the specific species of mushroom)? Like what is the chance you could have a poisonous mushroom? ~1 in 100? Or is it that poisonous mushrooms generally do not grow in cow fields where psilocybes grow? Because I have heard so many stories about people doing this with no problems...

Can someone shed some light? What precautions does one need to take for this to be somewhat safe?

At the very least, memorize this list of deadly mushrooms, and don't pick or eat them.

In my experience hunting for edible mushrooms for many years now, once you learn how to ID a mushroom by sight, it gets to be really easy to spot them in the wild. But it usually took me several times finding something and taking it home, taking spore prints, and cross referencing in my stack of field guides before I felt confident moving forward and eating them. By the time I was willing to risk eating some of the mushrooms I found, I had literally spent years studying them and becoming familiar. Now, when I walk past the mushrooms I am most familiar with, I can just name it like I would a tree or a type of bird or something. Personally, I wouldn't risk eating anything I found unless I was 100% sure of it's identity. I guess if someone teaches you how to ID them by sight you'd just learn to know what you are looking for like I do with my wild edibles. But the motto for mushroom hunters is worth following if you like living:

If in doubt, throw it out.

Not very dangerous in the UK cos Liberty's are very distinctive and we have no poisonous species that look like them as far as I know. Go with people who do it regularly and learn from them, I'd suggest. Free drugs are a thing of beauty =D

I have most certainly watched Fantasia while eating psilocybin mushrooms

the colors from the screen were in the middle of the room, like a dynamic painting... the music twittered and tinked and we 6 giggled at every note, personifying each flutter of the music.

it was absolutely spectacular, i'm saving watching Fantasia again until I eat some 4-AcO-DMT or some mushrooms!

As Shambles says, there aren't really any mushies in the UK that look like the ones you want. And a pretty sensible rule is if you don't trust it, don't eat it. Which makes sense really.

I'm lucky because I live in a place rich in cow fields, cows, cow pats and MUSHROOMS :D

I would be a more spiritual man if I could walk off into a field and crack off a giant psilocybe from a hot cow turd...I really would

I normally have no interest in movies while tripping, but there are a few exceptions and Fantasia is most definitely one of them. Obviously there is no complex plotline you need to waste mental energy trying to follow, and of course the music, animation and colours are spectacular.

I watched it on a mushroom/MDMA combo and it was incredible, moving, joyous... the staggering vision and geniuis of the animators, and the extraordinary detail of each hand drawn cell was apparent to me like never before.
To date it's still my favourite animated movie and I think a must-see for all trippers.

The original Fantasia, or the new version? Fantasia 2000.

There's also a "Fantasia/Fantasia 2000 [Special Edition] [2 Discs]" and even "Fantasia & Fantasia 2000 Special Edition (Four Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo)"

FIREBIRD SEGMENT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FWq17CT6Cs (set it to high-res - 480p with menu below & on the right of the viirtual video "screen"... if it skips, just pause till it is done buffering the whole thing)

AWESOME! I think this would be quite worthy of watching while tripping and NOT a "waste" at all! Best of course on a giant Blu-Ray screen with a surround-sound system in a darkened room!
