Okay not posted in ages and cant seem to find a Real topic for this,

Here are some mushrooms I picked today, The bottom ones I am 99.99% sure are libs but the top four look a bit odd for libs.. they could be old ones,

1st one is very lib looking, brown cap, blackish gills I am about 70% sure its a lib but dont want to risk it,
second one has a brownish-black cap with dark grey- orange tint gills,
Third one im pretty sure isnt a lib but curious of what it is as there was ALOT of them.
they have a nipple head darker than a lib but has a grey gill and im pretty sure the 4th one is the same.

Happy hunting everyone

I was also shocked to find hardly any mushrooms for this season and it has been like it last season too, What's going off?

We don't approve mushroom ID threads here or any other ID threads for that matter, visit the shroomery for that.
The main reason is that we don't presume we can tell you what you have by just looking at a photo, and neither should you try and determine the species without having mycological experience.

If anything, negative ID may be sustained, i.e. if someone can tell you that there is no way in hell that's an active species you have. That would prevent harm just right there.
But a positive ID is more risky to give out. By yourself as well.

More and more people are discovering all the good spots. Every year some stupid ass 15 year olds find out where to go & tell all they friends. Throw in the fact they never pick properly and don't respect the land at all. This leads to fields being secured with electric fences/dogs and shit, and having barrely any mushies on. :(

At least thats the case round my end, I remember back in '07 when they grew pretty much everywhere round here :(

that basically sums it up-- most mushroom species will have difficulty recovering if their substrate is repeatedly trampled, so keep your footsteps to a minimum. also they can exhaust the nutritional supplies in one area and not be able to return for a few years as the level of poo/woodchips/grass or whatever substrate builds back up to support a large colony.

So go to less populated areas, All the good old spots are completely dried out while I went there was at least 7 other shroom pickers I spotted which made me realise why there was not any... This year I am trying to find new spots. But its not easy. I have also herd that the UK goverment have been spraying some of them. :(

As Solipsis mentioned, shroom ID threads are not permitted on BL and we have plenty other threads to discuss of mushie matters in so gonna close this one up now. The best place for questions about seasonal pickings is probably your regional forum (assuming it has a Shroom Season thread) as it obviously varies a lot around the world. Happy hunting :)
