Smoking Buds while having Pink eye....

Hello,
So here is my story. Recently I got sick, sore throat, and dry cough. Went to the Dr. who told me I have a virus. Then 2 days ago, I noticed my right eye was extremely red, way more red than my other eye. My vision was also going cloudy in and out. So, I went to the Dr's again. They said it may spread to my other eye and sent me home with eyedrops with anti-biotics (even though its a virus they said it won't do much). Anyways, so I wake up this morning and I notice my other eye looks exactly like my right, suuuuper red. I have stopped the anti-biotic eye drops since they aren't helping and it feels like my eyes are on fire. Everyone at work is looking at me all crazy. Anyways, is there any reason I should not smoke bud while I have this eye virus? When I do smoke, even just a couple hits, it makes my eyes look even more red, since they are already red to begin with. If anyone has any insight on this or opinions I would like to hear them please!

Start using the anti-biotics again, that is what will get rid of the infection. Antibiotics need some time to build up in your body to be effective.

The redness caused by smoking Cannabis is different to the pink eye redness.

just keep using the antibiotics and use your pink eye as an excuse for not being high until it goes away!! lol

yea, I noticed the same thing. Ive smoke weed for awhile now and when I get blazed, they get a red tint all around. But right now, currently, it looks like I have these crazy red veins in my eyes. Like If I were to look out towards one side and you look at the remaining whites, there are insane red veins all over.

But they claim it is a "virus", and doesn't that mean that anti-biotics don't kill the virus? I called my Dr. and they said the reason my eyes still feel like they are on fire, even while using the eye drops since it is a virus? But maybe Ill try the drops again, anyways im going to vapo a bowl cuz im pissed off my eyes are all fucked up!

Antibiotics don't work against viral infections, fellas.

At best they might help alleviate some symptoms and prevent a bacterial infection, but antibiotics are pretty ineffective against viruses.


OP I don't see how smoking weed could make pink eye worse as long as you take care not to irritate your eyes with the smoke and don't bring that shit around other people. I don't recommend smoking while ill, but there's a fuckload of people on BL that would disagree with me.

Yea, what you said is what the Dr.s have said, they gave me the drops just to, I guess, maybe trick me into thinking it would get better. But really, my eyes look exactly the same as the day it started and they feel on fire. I vaped 2 small bags, way less than usual, so i'm gonna stick that that now

Do your eyes feel worse after you smoke? Like, does the pain/irritation increase whenever your eyes get redder, or does it just happen and you only notice once you check the mirror?


If your eyes get redder but don't feel any worse then I don't see the problem with smoking, but if smoking causes more irritation then I would just leave it alone if I were you.

I think he meant that the eye drops themselves contained the antibiotics.


Regardless, though, the drops will help with the symptoms... just not the cause.

No, they don't feel irritated to me, but my girlfriend would disagree with me. As she is studying to be a nurse, but she criticizes me for smoking right now because she claims I am just making it more irritated by smoking and not giving it a chance to fully heal. Again tho, I am smoking only moderately to what I usually do, so I don't think I am really bugging them. But they do look redder after I blaze.
