LSD dosage per hit can vary wildly, and there's no way to be sure how much you have. That said, common blotters average 20-80 micrograms, and even allowing for some more variation, you'll want to take two hits. It may be a little underwhelming in comparison to what you may have heard, but its better to be safe than sorry. It seems to be the perfect number for beginning, one is almost always not enough to have a psychedelic experience, and more can be risky. I don't know anyone who lost in on two hits, it's always a comfortable and wonderful evening, but I had a friend who dove in on 4 hits.
He came to his senses in a jail cell.
There's plenty of time for high dose trips later when you have more experience.
Oral is perfect for LSD, it doesn't really matter how it enters your system, you won't change the experience.
My first trip was a great experience, but one friend got a cut, and without the presence of a sitter we'd have spent more time discussing whether an ambulance was needed than we did, and might have actually called. (It was a very minor wound) It's nice to be able to completely let go, which can be hard your first time when you have no experience and no one to watch you.
