Heroin bf overdosed (i think) @ hospital now

Sooo... the scariest thing that has ever happened to me a couple of hours ago. Me and my bf of 3 1/2 yrs got a bag of dope. Was supposed to be a .5, but it looked rather short. Some of you may recall that I'm in MMT. Don't want to get lectured about usung right now, but I'm mentioning it to reference my tolerance. Long story short, he went out to the car looking for some cigs. I probably came outside a few minutes after. I found him slumped over into the paaengers seat. He was completely non responsive. My roommate called EMS and after a couple of minutes his eyes rolled back. Before that he had lost almost all the color in his face and did not appear to be breathing. His eyes going back REALLY freaked me out and I started to attempt cpr, even though I didn't completely know what I was doing. After a couple of minutes, he had begun to come back. Once again I'm going to omit some details... he tells the EMT all he did was have some drinks and that he worked a very long day. He was told that by law he had to go to the hospital. Its probably for the best as his blood pressure was at stroke levels apparently. ANYWAYS the doc just called me to see what I had to say and I just repeated his story b/c I assume that's what my bf wants. So the question is, are we totally throwing them off and wasting everyones time? What would happen if we told the truth? Also why IS his blood pressure so high? 180/90 before we came to the ER and his doc just said it was still pretty high. What do you all think. Still worried but so very very greatful he's still here :) think I got scared straight in the process. Hope someone can shed some light on all this. THANK YOU!!!
 
I would think the doctors would have found out what rlly happened at the hospital? Does he have tracks?
 
Yea the docs already know whats up......they obviously did a drug screen right away and found the heroin in his system.......Also I thought that when you overdose that your blood pressure goes way down, not up.
 
No not fent. Plain ole powder H. Yeah I don't know why his blood pressure went up. My room mate checked his pulse before the EMT came and she said his heart beat was very irregular. Maybe when he came back his heart started overcompensating. His tracks r not very noticable. We're pretty good about not reusing. I'm beginning to worry that maybe there is some other problem since his blood pressure is so high. I don't know :( I just want him to be ok and for us to be able to go home. Its 4 am eastern and I've been here awhile.
 
yeah they run blood work instantly... its standard protocol incase he would have coded to run a basic Chem 7 or chem 17 panel and a cardio enzyme lab... this would have shown pretty much everything the doc needed.... now heres where the tricky part comes in and im just being upfront and honest with you and in no way trying to scare you... if something was to seriously go wrong and he didnt recover and he would have passed away... you personally after telling the EMT and the doctor could be liable for falsification of an interview, which in some locations a serious crime.... Cause treating an alcohol overdose vs a heroine overdose vs a meth overdose all follow along the same lines of recovering procedures.... but one med that a doc used on your man because u told him he was drunk, wouldnt do shit for overdosing on dope.... i hope all goes well.... and i have experience with this cause I am a practicing Paramedic both when i was in the military and now im out... and i have seen how one little "white lie" in a medical emergency history given by a loved one has killed the patient.... just be honest.... hope all works outs
 
high blood pressure can be numerous things... something in the dope consticted the vessels (like it was cut with stuff), medication ur man is using on a regular basis or just started taking reacted with the dope.... im thinking this is not an overdose im thinking more of a reaction with the dope to his body.... so either fuck ur dealer up.... see what meds he was taking (if he is) or just stop.... again some people rather choose to not tell the truth about the use of drugs and overdosing... its a decision that could work or not.... You need to be made aware that for the past ~5 years, some say with increasing frequency, "plain ole powder H" on the east coast has been cut with Fentanyl made in clandestine labs in Mexico. I OD'd on it on June 14th, 2006 on 2 bags laced with the stuff. I was lucky. The EMTs were called, and I was revived. But many others in my area died over the following month while I was in rehab. And guess what? My buddy and I received a bundle of dope LAST WEEK that most definitely was cut. We were both all-too-familiar with the feeling, and we immediately threw it out and warned our dealer. Or, I should say, tried to warn him - but he was already in the ICU after overdosing, off of 2 insufflated bags with a 6-bag tolerance.

^Do you have a source for this? The clandestine labs that were making the fent laced dope years ago (I believe around the time you OD'd) were shut down quite a while ago. That's not to say that there can't be another lab that has started up but I haven't heard of anything lately.

yo unless you are THE mexican drug lord.... you are in no position to say that. i have seen people cutting dope with fent within the last 6 months bigtime
 
thank you everyone for your responses. first, they did not run a drug screen. i suppose it didn't look like a heroin od so they took his word. potentiators: 1 mg xanax over 12 hrs previously, a couple of beers before coming home. my bf seems to think, and the doctors agreed, that since he had worked 70 hrs the week before he was very exhausted and this caused the arrhythmia. of course he and I both know the H is connected somewhere in all this, we don't know how exactly. I guess he has a weak heart. maybe some undiagnosed defect or something? he has always said stress causes his blood pressure to spike, but i never believed it could be so serious. they gave him a valium script though, and he is going to go to another doctor and get it refilled after this one runs out, so hopefully that will help with the stress. if anything good could have possibly come from this, it is that i think i am OVER my love affair with heroin. so glad he is ok. i also know just how much i really do love him now too.

definitely wouldn't mind if we continued speculating on what happened, it still doesn't make a lot of sense and i feel like we are missing some answers we need here.
 
oh yeah, and they were asking him if it was benzo or alcohol withdrawal b/c it looked more like that than anything. it def wasn't though.
 
sounds like it was some shitty h possibly. Have you gotten stuff from this same person before, and did you do any of it? did you guys actually get high from it?
 
this was the second time going to this guy. we both got a major rush. it started out warm and fuzzy and then went all pins and needles. but i have a nice tolerance (methadone). i was fine. didn't even get that high, but i take 30 mg of 'done a day. it is hard to say what he experienced. but it was a modest shot by any measure. maybe .2 each? he has been using pretty frequently. OH i forgot. he took 30 mg of my methadone the day before that. that is a potentiator worth mentioning :/
 
i don't think the methadone has a big risk. maybe if he was doing coke that night but not H. my friend died the same way from coke and methadone
