I did a search of bluelight and could find no topics covering this.
I have been opiate free for almost two months now, but I've always wanted to find out if this was common among other opiate lovaz.
During most of my opiate usage, I was only able to get good euphoria from opiates for about 45mins. The 45mins were the beggining of the high, and always seemed to peak about 30min after consumption.
After the 45 mins of heaven were up, I'd notice the euphoria drop down rather quickly, and i'd be left in a relaxed state for a few more hours, but without the yummy euphoria I craved.
I addition to the short duration of the high, I was only able to get high about once every 6-8 hours. If I dosed 3 hours, let's say, after taking some OC, I would only get more sedated. It seemed to me like my brain needed those extra hours for the first high to go away completely, so the opiates had a blank slate to work with.
The only drugs that did not follow this pattern were poppy pod tea and tramadol. I actually preferred pod tea over OC's and even dope because i was able to maintain the euphoria all day, whereas hydrocodone/oxy/dope etc gave me a more intense euphoria, but I was only able to achieve it, at most, for 45mins two or three times a day.
This was not the case the first 50 or so times I got high. Back then, 15mg of hydrocodone would have me pinned for four or five hours. But once I became slightly tolerant, the euphoria was reduced to the first 45mins of onset.
Isn't that just the darndest thing?
