Which drug "Era" would you have liked to in?

Early 2000's, when I was a teenager and an opiate virgin, nobody knew shit about oxycontin, so 80mg pills where like 10-15$ a piece. The care free good old days when I just lived for today.

that is the truth i would of been dead cause i believe i can take as many as i want a day and usually no more left for the next day;)

Theres so much to choose from!

1st i though the early 1900 period when opium was in everything, as well as cocaine.... ie: heroin is the great new cure for morphine addicts! and soothes a dry cough!

but then there was a time when you could order MDMA over the phone like RC's today but lower tech. I can remember using bulletin boards with a 2800 Bps modem with black and orange screen- 2 colours, and there was no swearing, so drug use was of limits there....

and where probably in a someones goldena ge in the future, DXM can be pretty awesome if done right. Its just seems odd that the ONLY good cough suppressants all seem to get you high if you take more than the standard dose?

Theres just something strange about it....

you cant separate the painklilling effects of opiates without the high or addiction that will follow repeated use....

Let me think. today i could walk down 1 street, with 10 different chemists on it. i could buy Codeine, pseudoephedrine, DXM, promethazine, dihydrocodeine, diphenoxylate, atropine derivatives, avils, diphenhydramine......

Today's pretty sweet with drugs...balance.

But would like to live in the 90's ecstasy summer time for a week.

And the 60's for like a few months for the amount of LSD and hashish going around - would go woodstock, San Francisco, Isle of Wight Festival...fuck...amazing.

60s, gotta love weed, lsd and mescaline for all. after that maybe when rolling first got popular.

1960s when acid was at is peak synthetic psilocybin was plentiful. and all those psychedelic clubs were huge (you remember fear and loathing in las vegas where hes at that club in sanfransisco tripping out)something kinda like that. not to mention all the music out at the time. id looove to be at all those shows tripping my face off. oh ya and last bot not least getting to smoke real purple haze

Weed and LSD in 70's? (Haight Asbury/ Hippies)

*(not sure how accurate my eras are, so feel free to make suggestions if im wrong or u wanna add something.

The Haight Asbury/hippies thing was really in the mid to late 1960s. It also was more then Weed and LSD, it was weed and LSD and dexamphetamine and methamphetamine and heroin and barbiturates and alcohol and opium some other stuff too. Those were the big things though, but the scene was at its prime in 1966-1969 really, and it declined and the culture kinda died during the 70s.

I like now though, we have the Internet to help us not die when we use drugs and there are a larger then ever before number of drugs, most of them fairly easily obtainable.

why is everyone wanna live in teh past

am i the only one whoze curious bout teh future pharms?[/QUOTE

For me, it was 100 white crosses for $20, no fuss, no muss. Now, getting anything from a doctor (I'm in the cornfields...) is nearly impossible. No one around here has anything....and Im honstly terrified to go to KC for anything...just know no one...

late 70s/early80s in the punk scene. the hippies are a little to lovey dovey for me but crazy wrecklessness of the punk scene is very appealing to me.

early 1900's when heroin was sold in vials at pharmacies, and cocaine was also available.

Hey Bigsherm, I saw this on one of the discovery or history channel documentaries. You could order the heroin and metal equipment needed through the Sears catalogue. It would arrive in the mail with no problems. Also the tincture of opium was in all sorts of elixers or medicines which were at the time, "mother's little helper" I would have loved that shit. ~theresa
