If you're asking whether or not you can get high off of other opiates while on methadone maintenance yes you can. Once you get to high doses though and have been taking it for a while you won't be able to get high anymore.

yes you can, make sure that you take the equivalent dose to your other opiates (there are automated converters on the net, search google) and also don't expect it to kick in in like 45 mins like most drugs, it takes around 2 hours before you even start to feel it, and like 4-5 hours before its fully working. so DO NOT redose.
also, are they selling the liquid, or the pills. I wouldn't buy the liquid unless the bottle is still sealed, a lot of people will do half or some of it, and then fill it back up with water and sell it as whats labeled when that is no longer correct.

Yes, you can definitely get very high on Methadone...
Be careful with how much you take though, its easy to OD when you haven't used it before. Start with very low doses.

Been through them. I was on maintenance for over a year. They were so bad that I had to switch to Suboxone.

b4 i started mmt i was railing 90mg morphine on a reg basis and thatd prety much floor me
then the supply ran out .
now im on 85mg methadone and it barely does shit , iv been on it a couple of months
and neva once got any enjoyment out of it , just drowsy as fuck bout 8 hours later .
iv heard 120mg is where the "high" will come along , on that methadonia doco , but he was a 30+ year heroin addict , i only dabbled for maybe a year smoking/railing , iv'd twice , only did it 2nd time coz first shot didnt work , the 2nd one sure did , was TOO fucked , just rode it out but then was fine
im also on xanax , n i asked the chemist n they said benzos sorta stop the mental effects of the methadone (any1 else heard this)????, but numerous times iv heard mixing benzos esp alprazolam with methadone makes it a way better euphoric high ?? i dont get it

how do you go from taking 90mg of morphine the worst possible way in terms of BA(snorting) to 85mg of methadone, which is pretty strong? that just doesn't equate.
also, not everyone would need 120mg of methadone to get high. for someone whose opiate naive, I think 10mg would be enough. 120mg is probably where YOU'D get high though.
and yes, taking benzos, especially alprazolam while on methadone is very dangerous and very strong. people die all the time because of that combo.

yea apparently you can... but i have nvr gotten high off it. n ive taken it alot so i wouldnt get dope sick n it helped wit that but it didnt get me high.

Thats simple. You didn't get high from it because your dope sick. People on MMT or those just taking it to prevent withdrawals won't get high on it because they have been using really strong opiates for so long. You simply won't get enjoyable effects. I know this because I was on MMT. Before going on MMT and before I had such a tolerance to opiates I was able to get real high on it.
But regardless, withdrawals from Methadone are incredibly awful. I had to switch over to Suboxone because I felt I couldn't deal with getting off the lower doses.

^^unless your MMT dosage is higher than the equivalent of whatever opiate you were taking... i used to sometimes skip a day of MMT (90mg) and take a double dose the next day 180mg, that would get me high

yep if i had a week off heroin and took 100MG(dont try this, unless u have a death wish) and i was high as a kite for hours, as good as low quality H ime. Im on 80mgMMT and double dosing doesnt make much difference to the "high" . MMT do get a certain glow/lift of it , they get used to the feeling so much they dont realise they used to get a buzz till their off it completely .

I ain't gonna preach but Methadone is for addicts only as replacement 4 Heroin.
If u nust do it don't drink and take no more than 10mg honestly this is not a recreational drug it kills when used in thois way!

^ any drug that gets you high should/can be used recreationally imo, including methadone but Only if the person is educated(or cares) about the dangers involved. It does kill more than Heroin but thats mostly from mixing it with benzos/ alcohol, on its own its quite safe, even for the opiate niave(within obvious limits, 30mg below ime)

Methadone has the potential for abuse and can get you high so people are going to use it, not just heroin addicts. It is recreational, just as much as any other opiate. Methadone has a bad rep because its strong and people overdose due to combining other depressants with it or taking way too high doses. If they were well educated on how to use it properly than less people would be OD'ing on it.
You are correct on one thing though, start with no more than 10mg. Also, it takes a long while to kick in so don't redose. The effects begin to kick in within 2 hours or so & it peaks roughly 3-4 hours after taking it. If you aren't satisfied with that dose than try 15mg the following day & you can give that a try. If you aren't satisfied by the time you try 20mg than Methadone just isn't for you. No reason to go higher because that is what increases your chance of an overdose.

K'd out is exactly right. no more than 10mg, and do not re-dose the same day. you'll have to wait the next day and add 5-10mg to what you took the day before (and even then, its gonna be kinda strong, because you'll still have some of the 10mg from the day before in your system.

DO NOT RE-DOSE! methadone takes so long for even the slightest noticeable effects, full swing around 4 hours after taking. if you can dose it right, and you like nodding, you can nod from the time you wake up, to the time you go to bed. I did the first time I took 40mg, it was an AWESOME day. I woke up 2 hours before I normally would, took my dose, and then went back to sleep, by the time I woke up, I was starting to feel it a little, so about 2 hours after I woke up I started nodding, and it was like that all day until I went to bed that night
