Salvia is not a real trip

Yo.
I was a frequent/daily user of salvia 20x for a relatively short time. I have had completely encompassing hallucinations, meeting golden or green goddess, salvia creatures and 'factory,' feelings of instant death and disassembly, etc.

my opinion is salvia isn't really a trip, rather an enormously strong high. The delirium really clouds the experience and if you ask me, it's nowhere near traditional psychedelics. Not only is it usually unpleasant, I don't think it's a very intense hallucinogen despite the insane loss of contact with reality.

I have had more intense hallucinations from salvia than any other psychedelic......while it is not usually fun and kinda hard to remember everything sometimes, it definitely is a trip.

I think daily use is a bit much, i only tried the stuff twice and it was over the top. The wierdest part for me is that it's easy to remember what your trip was like, but so hard to explain it

I dont get any high from salvia.

Just a full blown mind blowing trip.

Its more then a trip then what you think.

It's more of a dissociative/ deliriant than a psychedelic, IMO...

It just can't compare to 'real' hallucinogens IMO. I've had surreal delusions of being one of many Sleeping beings who work together to form huge systems or beings, a hallucination which I often think of when salvia is mentioned. I've also been used as an object by the evil salvians. If you think just being a book is a trip, I disagree! It's just dumb. A trip which makes you feel so plain as to become an inanimate object is so vague and shitty compared to the feelings of a real trip, of which I've scratched the surface.
Being a book doesn't equal a trip. You can have true hallucinations and delusions on diphenhydramine (benadryl), but is it a trip, since you talk to imaginary people, see a ton of shit that isn't really there, etc? No, hallucinating doesn't necessarily mean tripping. Come on guys, just agree with the one who is right.

^My thoughts exactly........it is a dissociative psychedelic IMO. Some of the experiences I have had after smoking salvia were so profound that it is in a category of its own in terms of strength.

I don't see the point in discussing whether or not the Salvia experience is a "real trip." If you're trying to differentiate it from the serotonergics like LSD, then I agree since they differ in terms of chemistry, pharmacology, and phenomenology. In fact, they couldn't be more different, but I would still say that Salvia definitely does produce a trip, though it goes far beyond anything I'd expect from an LSD trip.

Perhaps you're right. The hallucinations are very frequent and large in scale with salvia, but psychedelics seem FAR more emotionally impacting and novel to me. Then again the numbing of emotions in a salvia experience is trippy in its own way.

I think their strength can be compared, but I'm not sure us humans can properly analyze the similarities and differences and come to an overall conclusion since they're so different, but I'd be a hypocrite to type such a thing.

I don't think we can either, but that doesn't mean it's not a worthwhile pursuit anyway, since we can still learn a lot from it. I know I'd have a way narrower definition of what a trip can be if I had never worked with Salvia alongside other hallucinogens.

I've always wanted to do some salvia while tripping on LSD or whatever. But it's been illegal here for quite awhile and while I'm sure I could find a vendor to send me some anyway it doesn't seem worth the trouble.

So I think everyone is going to agree that it is a dissociative, then? It is a bit different than the others, but I can't call it either a deliriant or a psychedelic...

I have smoked quality extracts on top of many other psych's and the results are ten fold what the original trip was bringing me. On a 20mg 2c-i trip, after I settled into the headspace, I smoked some 15x salvia and was taken into a stunning world I couldn't comprehend as 3 dimensions became a thing of the past. Insane is the only way to describe combining it with psych's.

I have only experienced lower dimensions on salvia. On the other hand mescaline was more of a 4-dimensional experience. Now just imagine 10 dimensions on a high dose. Makes 0 dimensions seem like clockwork.
