I barely poke my head in here but love the threads and love the mods (you guys keep up well!) so I decided to attempt to contribute something to spawn discussion.

I remember a few years back there was a thread revolving around the coolest trip rooms (people who had ultimate fantasies, and also some things people had done in the present or still did)

WELL since the thread is super old and this post is specifically about acid and the visuals surrounding the compound I wanna focus on that. Feel free to share your fantasy room, things you have done in the past, your upcoming plans, or the difference between an acid inside hangout and an outside acid adventure.

This is my plan for next weeks trip. I will be acquiring a small amount of L but it is very HIGH quality for my area. The average hits are around 40-75 here, these are reported to be approximately 100-130. I plan on consuming 1.5 hits and seeing if thats enough for my ride. I have no plans, and no possible interuptions that day so im all good on that. My friends have nowhere to be for about 4-16 hours so they should be good. 3 of us wil lbe tripping, me 1.5 one 0.5 (only 3rd time) and 1 (first time I believe)

I am extremely experienced on mushrooms and somewhat experience on L. I have had only 7 bad trips out of maybe 200 trips total (between the two). ANYWHOO

I plan on covering all windows and shutting all blinds to have a completely dark house. The only lights used will be glow in the dark, blacklight related, what have you.

We will be in 1 room for a majority of the trip. A couple good HD movies are on hold if we decide to watch 1. But usually I cannot focus on anything like a movie if they are good. Anyways I will have 2, 32' LCD HD SAMSUNG tv's hooked up to xbox's playing 2 different audio visualizations.. I also will have my 21'' iMac playing the new audio visualaxation in itunes which is quite impressive for a free include. it will also be the source of the music out of all three possible sources.... going to add better speakers to the imac so we can have a little woofer ya know and will try to get some smaller speakers for the highs and strategically place them for a surround sound effect. you can control a lot of the action with keystrokes which is cool, especially while tirpping plus downloaded demos of 2 other visualization programs if we got bored (i doubt that) I have 5 medium size glow stick balls essentially a glowstick beach ball but 8 inch sticks attached together.. gonna tie 2 to the ceiling fan and let those fly. the other 3 will be for just throwing around, maybe create a game with them or just laugh at the trails lol.

I also live by the beach so maybe might bring them down there and play with them in the sand for a while, THe dark beach with glow balls would be awesome, just wouldn't want to talk to LEO although I wouldn't have anything on me. There is a pool 2 blocks from my house but a lot of people use it all the time and I don't wanna run into neighbors frying. Maybe inside I can watch their big screen and play pool, maybe fun...? Also gonna grab some good size BRIGHT sticks and tape them to the ceiling fan for added effect. Should only cost 15 dollar to prepare the room since I have 80% of what I need. And only 5 after other contribute.

I will have to think about my fantasy room but I wil ltake a picture once its all set up while in light and when the lights go out. It will be ridiculous trust me. I already can see it going in my head... lol %)

When I was younger I painted one of my walls black and white checkerboard because I thought it would look cool while high. Little did I know it would still be one of the most fascinating things I could ever stare at whilst tripping. The visuals play different tricks everytime. LSD especially makes the wall go fucking wild.

I love laying in my bed looking at the walls as they morph and melt in the darkness.
My ultimate fantasy room would be the Alex Grey Chapel.

This is purely fantasy, of course, but a room completely surrounded by giant fish tanks would be really neat. Something like what they have at seaworld:

I used to work towards building the ultimate trip room when I was younger. I like the checker patterned wall idea. I had plenty of blacklights, strobelighs (didnt use the strobes too much), trippy posters, plasma balls ect. My room is pretty boring these days. :\

If you can swing it, have some means to go outside during your trip. I know it sounds trite ("experience nature, maaaaaan", etc.), but the simple freedom of location selection while tripping can help to relieve a lot of anxiety. And you really will appreciate the little things more after looking at the outside world while tripping.

I thought of that before!!!! I was really high on painkillers and went through somethign similar once :D Was fun, but not like TRIPPIN' fun. @ bardo

@stom yeah I live by the beach and plan on making a visit and maybe walking some trails!

That sounds epic.. I wish I had that kinda money. I'm lucky that I pay 30 an 1/8 for shrooms and 10 a hit for acid.
But your trip room sounds crazy, seems like you might go insane.

Damn that is a sick idea, I might have to do that, maybe throw in a few trippy posters too.

I think out in a pleasant spot in nature would be the ideal place.

As for the worst place to trip in I read a story about when the CIA were torturing people they used to give them something to make them unconscious for a few hours, then inject them with an enormous dose of LSD then wake them up so they came to upside down and strapped immobile in a tank slowly filling with water, peaking on LSD.

what the fuck!!

Back in the days of my youth I made an incredibly detailed tie-dyed sheet that hung on my wall... amazing scenes would emerge while tripping. I also made a contraption out of a crate lined with tin foil and it had a string of blinking xmas tree lights suspended within. One side of the crate had various slits and openings cut into it so that the light shadows danced over the wall and ceiling making the most interesting visual patterns. Listening to music, a candle or two and some nice incense added to the ambiance... loved it.

Nowadays I just enjoy my killer surround sound system and am surrounded by lots of plants and my massive gem/mineral/crystal collection.

My room is trip heaven. We haven't actually been in here in full trip, because every time it gets to a point where it is tooooooo much. There is writing allll over the walls, various tags and gaffitti, some posters of fractals and illusions. Will post some pictures very soon, officially the trippiest place ive ever been :P

I don't know man, when I'm on psychedelics I really get turned off by the idea of stuff that's "trippy". Like fractal posters 'n shit... I think the trippiest thing in the world is just normal reality, seeing the way a chemical shifts your perception of normal shit is way more impressive to me than staring at some already mind bending images.

All the "trippy" decor to me seems really lame and kind of upsetting to me while on some psyches a lot of the time even...

I can only stare at visuals when I'm on shrooms. Acid makes me too impatient and restless.

Yeah i agree outdoors is the shit. I would like to take a walk around Yellowstone or the Redwood Forest.

After i finish my current indoor garden project in november, I think i'm going to convert the walled-off closet I used for that into a room for tripping.

Put a comfortable chair in there, speakers on the shelf above me, a better way to open/close it from inside, and a few lighting options maybe (though am most interested in pitch darkness)... and go in there on the peak and fly off into my own mind without any interference from reality...

Though honestly I must say, outdoor settings are really nice for tripping if available. Last night I almost went swimming in the ocean at 3:30 am (on a 60-degree night in MA in late september). The sand seemed to have an unearthly beauty, and the water felt warmer than it did in the day (though i think reflecting on it, i may have just not perceived it as cold).

I'm lucky that I pay 30 an 1/8 for shrooms and 10 a hit for acid.
That's about the going rate among my contacts too. $30-40 for 1/8th mushies and $5-10/hit for fake acid (DOx blotter) and $10-15/hit for real lucy, with no quantity discounts on any psychedelic.

As i live in a town by the sea and not far from the country,me and a few good friends would drop a load of acid at one of thier houses, wait until we started coming up where it would be getting very intense surrounded by four walls.

We would then burst out of the house and into the street which would feel amazing, like being born into the world where we would be confronted by all the shimmering and twinkling lights of an urban setting, from there we would head into the heart of the town which seemed like to take a life time, where all the people would be and the cars would go whizzing by leaving massive tracers from the tail lights as if they were on a scalextrics track.

For us,all of the hustle and bustle of town would intensify the trip to the point of exploding, then we would get to the calmness of the beach and the sea, which would feel like heaven as the waves lapped the shore.

So i think a bit of urban intensity followed by nature at it`s best is the way to go IME.
