Ok so I just started seeing a pain management doc 2 weeks ago. He gave me ms contin 15 and norco 5. I have a very strong tolerance to pain meds and the ms contin and norco don't really help my pain. I have always taken pain meds since i was 18 years old. I love the buzz i get from them also;) My question is, how many ms contin would it take to give me a good buzz? I tried taking 4 and i barely felt anything. Any know how many i should try taking?

Uhm, when you say you have a high tolerance what exactly do you mean? How much of what gets you where you want to be? This is not a trip report, BTW
 
Assuming the vic's are tens you would need 12 norco 5's (they are both hydrocodone) or about 4 morphine 15's (chewed to beat the time release). If the vic's are 5's cut those doses in half obviously.

-Vicodin ES are 7.5/750mg.

-Thebuilucia6, if you are taking six Vicodin ES orally all at once, without doing a CWE on them, then that is 45mg of hydrocodone and a whopping 4500mg of acetaminophen. You should never do that again, ever. That high of a dose of acetaminophen is over 4x the recommended maximum dosage for an entire day; if you do that more than once a day on any sort of a regular basis, I can almost guarantee that you are going to be getting liver failure within a couple of weeks.

If it takes you 45mg of hydrocodone to get where you want to be (six 7.5's), then I would recommend taking the same milligram dosage of morphine, in an instant-release form. Remember that MS Contin are time-release - you should crush them into a powder before taking them if you want to catch a buzz. Since they are 15mg MS Contin, crush up three of them (which makes 45mg total) and take that.
Alternatively, you could try crushing up a smaller dose and snorting it to get the same effects. 15-30mg snorted would probably be about the same as 45mg swallowed with morphine.

But his information on intranasal delivery and chewing MS Contin are incorrect.

MS Contin gels when it hits water, i.e in the stomach, so no matter what you do to crush it you're still going to have to find another way around the time matrix. They do not work like the old Purdue OxyContin OC's (not OP's) Hint* Check how IVers prep a solution and modify to make it an oral solution (add sugar, juice for taste etc...), since the intranasal bio-availability of morphine sulfate is around 10-15%.

Just thought this info would be useful in not wasting a lot of a prescription. Take care and have fun

incorrect, the maximum daily recommended dosage is 4000mg.
 
"norco 5"??.....I thought norcos were only the 10/350's?

*Also, only you know your tolerance. how are we suppose to tell you how much to take if your the only one who knws your tolerance level?
 
speaking of calling a pill something its not. I hate when people say they got 500mg vics and stuff like that.

but if you cannot get the relief you need with what you got, then you could IV the the morphine. but I don't recommend that if you aren't already using needles.
