Dosage for use IV morphine

Hi everyone, Im a nurse student (last year) and I "found" two bottles of hydrochloride of morphine (10 mg/1 ml each of them). So my questions are:

1. How much (ml) I have to use?
2. I have to use a esterile water or something for make dilution?

Some things of me:

1. Im a girl, 1.55, 130 lbs approximately, not opiate use previously, I just a cocaine user ;)

having no opiate tolerance i'd use no more than 10mg to get a taste for the drug before being knocked out on a drug you've no experience with.

oh you have no allergies to morphine based drugs, right? that's something to take into consideration but i'm sure you'd have being a nurse:)

if you're a nurse, wouldn't you know how much the usual person gets and kinda know where to go from there? oh, you're a student nurse, you probably haven't had much experience between patients and yourself.

well, like said above, I'd do 10mg to get a taste, and if you do it fast enough (not super slow like they tell you to do, and that nurses at hospitals do) you'll get a nice rush from it with pins and needles. and then I'd dose 5mg more at a time until you get where you wanna be. you're IVing this right? otherwise the doses are gonna be WAY different and you'd need WAY more of the drug.

oh, and since I have the opportunity to corrupt you now, before you're fully a nurse. if you work at a hospital and are administering the patients pain meds, especially morphine, push the plunger kinda quickly, or at least faster than they tell you to. help the person out, and give them a little present of a rush. the normal person will feel a rush off a standard dose given if pushed a little faster. you'll be the favorite nurse on the block. ;)
 
eh, now that you say that I noticed she asked if she should use sterile water for solution.

that makes me think this is some kind of powder, but I've never heard of powders being measured in ML. so, please let us know OP......is this a readily available IV solution, a powdered product, or an oral use only liquid?
 
10mg will get you floored for your first time IV'ed, start from there and be safe and have fun. Moderation is your best friend in this case. BTW did you find injectable vials or a oral morphine solution?
 
Hi and thanks for answer me. This morphine is for IV and IM use. I asking about the sterile water because when we use at the hospital in the recovery room, for example, when the persons go out of a surgery, we always mixed 9 cc of physiological serum with 10 mg of morphine and just use the half. I wanna the IV way because I know is the best use I can give to the morphine and because I know how to use a needle. Im not alergic, I took morphine in pills.
And of course, Im not the tipycal nurse with my pain patients, Iam like a real nurse Jackie ;)
 
it should already be n a solution, if you want the most bang for your buck, I wouldn't add anything to it (sterile water) but if its thick or something, which is shouldn't be, then maybe add a little bit of sterile water. I personally would just shoot as is, but I do know some bottles say to water down, not really sure why though, I guess to cut down on the rush, because like I said the faster you push the better rush you'll get and nurses like to watch the clock or their watch while they inject morphine and go slow, like a CC a half minute or something like that. it was pissing me off. I did have one nurse just pushing it quick though...loved her.

Enjoy, use as little as possible to get you to the recreational level you want, and remember to taper down the dose for the last half of the second bottle or face some harsh WD's.

You may act like a Nurse Jackie, but you won't want to have to deal with the shit she ended up working with to stay well. Consider it an experiment, and take some time off when they're gone, or don't expect to stay a nurse for very long.

being dope sick sucks ass, and you won't know the full extent of it until you've dealt with it personally.

Just to let you know Im a legitamite pain patient. Taking pills from your patients in legitamite pain just so you can get a little buzz is sickening. I hope you get caught, fired, and arrested. Selfish bitch. You're supposed to be helping people, and I swear to christ I would beat the living shit out of you if I knew you took my pain meds that I need so dearly. Hope you feel good about yourself, 'Nurse Jackie'. You should be fucking ashamed of yourself.
 
I don't recall her saying she took them from the patients.
I find reading people's posts often helps one in forming a response to them.
