Have any Adams fans read the Dirk Gently series? I thought it was really underrated and would make a great film.

I havn't watched the series for TOO long in order to have seen like their first appearances and shit, but I don't mind how they always randomly show up. Kind of just like an evil that can not be destroyed cause the Doctor don't have the heart to exterminate a species. Though I feel like there was a few episodes with a timelord-human hybrid where the 'doctor-donna' does something of the sort and they still end up coming back. I don't know whenever I watch the show I try to apply as little strict logic to the happenings as I can cause otherwise I start questioning the time paradoxes that are happening all the time.




And yea man totally, the Drik Gently series was amazing. Especially the first one. That one had me addictively tearing through it. The second one was still great but I don't think I quite liked the ending as much.
 
I think he was annoyed because they were supposed to be 'exterminated' but some survived trapped in a time bubble or something sure solistus will correct me.

My Mum on another note when I used to watch it as a kid was totally scared of the cybermen couldn't even look at them and would run from the room if they came on. Weird and funny=D.

I loved the first Dirk Gently book and at the end when it all comes together is amazing, the realisation as eveything falls into place, superb, would make an awesome movie if they could get the humour to work.
 
Ah yes I remember that. Meh there's all kinds of weird stuff that has been put into the plot of the Doctor whos some of it not the most fully thought out. I like to think of the show at the same time being a great sci fi show but also a parody of all other sci fi shows to an extent.



And YES! The ending of that one was hair-raising. Almost wanna read it again now.

I really, really wanna go to Moogfest. I only know like 2 of the bands, but I'm digging the one soooo hard right now. And the other is one of my favorites too.

BTW, speaking of which, have y'all been following the Restoring Truthiness hilarity? Reddit started a campaign to get Colbert to do a rally mocking Glenn Beck's rally from a couple weeks ago, it caught on on facebook/twitter/etc. and now it's been a repeated back-and-forth between Colbert mentioning it on the show and fans doing more awesome shit. Glenn Beck made a big deal about some geese that flew over the rally as a sign from God, which Colbert of course mocked... He consulted his prophetic goose, Geese Witherspoon on the show, and then the Redditors sent him hundreds of beanie baby geese, dubbing him the Gander Commander.

I've been following that as well. Love the Daily Show & Colbert Report! I'm usually a day behind though since I watch it online

Whew that one was intense, even more so than the higher doses Ive taken. During the trip I came to the conclusion that I was only tripping on this occasion to feel different and to escape. The psilacetin kind of grabbed me and said "Now look here, it doesnt work that way!". It shook me up a little pulling me from one emotional extreme to the next. I probably wont trip during nicotine withdrawl again ;)
