Xanax and Ecstasy

I know there have a been a few threads about this before I apologize for reposting but my situation is a bit different and just want to make sure.

I took 10mg of xanx last night around midnight, woke up today feeling a bit off because of the the xanax hangover but I'm alright. Tonight I have to capsules full of MDMA. Do you think that the xanax I took last night will mess with my roll? Or should I wait a day?

you should be fine. but might i suggest not taking 10mg's of xanax in one night? that is pretty wreckless and stupid. not trying to offend you.

If he wants to take 10 mgs (5 bars) there is really no problem with that. As long as you don't mix xanax with another downer it is an amazingly safe drug, this is a harm reduction forum, not a forum where we should judge.

Oh and you will be peachy if you roll, even if you still feel a bit monged out by the xanax it will be fine to roll, once the roll hits that will leave. Like swerlz said it never hurts till you yourself feel ready though.

No offense taken. I am resistant to most medication and usually takes me more than the average person to feel anything. I know what, and how much my body can handle. 10mg to me could only make you feel live you've taken 5... From what friends have told me.

If you are concerned about a drug still being in your body and possibly affecting/interacting with another drug (obviously MDMA), you should look up how long it is in your system, or the half-life of the drug. That will ultimately help.
 
half life of alprazolam is 11 hours. you will be ok, but I honestly would still wait until tomorrow. I've never taken xanax on X, and I know thats not what you're doing, but I think it would dull the roll somehow. kind of like how alcohol dulls the euphoria of opiates.
 
I have personally, well accidentally, taken xanax before rolling. I initially took the pill because I was about to drop some acid and I get panic attacks so I usually do that as a preventative. Not a huge dose, probably just to placebo myself. The LSD was completely unchanged except for a smooth anxiety free come up. When I decided to pop a roll however, I felt more groggy and confused than usual. Simple tasks even from a tripping rolling fool became impossible. Could just be the candy flipping, but I felt like it some how diminished the effects of MDMA and did nothing to LSD. I was tripping just fine and a little more awake, but none of the lovey euphoria you get from really rolling. The MDMA powder we had was immaculate and we had taken it on several different occasions before so any adulterant is out of the question. No references or sources though, sorry, just first hand experience.

As far as bad interactions though, as long as the dose of either drug is not heroic, you should be fine even if taken at the same time.

PRO TIP: Just save the xanax for the comedown and smoke a couple of bowls. That afterglow is amazing.
