Opioids 1st time using methadone

I recently came across 40mg methadone Diskettes, I did some reading and every agreed that 10mg for a first time user would be fine. Normally i read that diskettes are meant to be dissolved in water and drank, but mt friend and I decided to just take it like a pill and drink some water after. Now besides this I've done norco a few times on and off, but i haven't done that in a month. Yet when we both took methadone (10mg) we felt nothing at all.

Well we did feel a little itch and then a numb feeling that started to creep slowly in my head but that it! Nothing after. I read on this forum that methadone is a powerful drug that should not be taken in excessive amounts if you have no tolerance. I have no tolerance to methadone and i haven't done norco in over a month! I don't know why we didn't feel the recreational effects.

The only reason i could think of as to why it didn't take affect is because we didn't dissolve it in water, instead we just swallowed it like a pill. Now I'm going to give it another go but this time with 20mg. Now for the purpose of harm reduction i have a few questions.

Do any experienced methadone users think i should dissolve it in water?

Is there a reason why it didn't work?

Has anyone here ever used methadone diskettes?

Besides being orally taken, whats another method of taking methadone? (I.E shooting,snorting etc...)

how long ago did you take it? It takes 4 hours to peak. Also, it has a 24-36 hour half life so if you are taking it before the drug has at least gotten to the first half life you could be taking 30 mg and that is not good at all for someone without opiate tolerance. please be careful and at least wait 3 days and maybe take 15 at the most.

We waited longer than 4 hours, we took it at around 10pm on sunday and we ended up just hanging out and smoking weed. Its been 4 days since we took it.
