snorting claritin or zyrtec to cross the BBB?

hey, sometimes i mix a sedative antihistamine with alcohol or benzos for a "boosted" effect or i mix them with opiates for potentiation and to stop the itching. i also use them sometimes as a non-addictive sleep aid(although they aren't as good as benzos or ambien of course).

claritin(loratadine) and zyrtec(cetrizine) could have sedative properties, but oraly they are bad at crossing the BBB.

i don't care for diphydramine or doxylamine too much. my favorite sedative antihistamine is hydroxyzine, but it is rx-only...

so, could snorting zyrtec or claritin result in BBB crossing and be a replacement for other antihistamines? would the effect be typical of other sedative antihistamines?

*by "typical" i mean loratadine is closely related to seroquel, so it could have some decent sedative effects if it gets across the BBB...

snorting some drugs results in better BBB crossing. examples include morphine/heroin, amphetamine, DMT, the list goes on...

i know snorting is worse for benzos and some others, but for osome it gets them across the BBB much better.

DMT isn't active at all without an MAOI, but the problem isn't with crossing the BBB.

My guess is you're just a claratin an a straw away from being the world leading authority on this. Worth a try I quess.

haha thats mean but funny. Yea I honestly have never seen this asked on bluelight so props for that but I highly doubt it would work. On the other hand you could mainline it I bet it has a KILLER rush pun absolutley intended. No im JK dont IV it.

i just realized how stupid this idea is and i think it would be better for somebody else to try it. i don't feel like railing a claritin or zyrtec and having to spend a half hour washing my nose out so i'll wait for the idea to hit some other idiot...

well it is allergy season...

hydroxyzine is better than diphenhydramine and other 1st. generation antihistamine as its anti-anxiety and sedative effects have little to do with an anticholinergic action(and no annoying anticholinergic side effects). its a good booster for alcohol or benzos and the one of the best opiate potentiators(and relieves the itching well). its also a good sleep aid for those with mild to moderate insomnia and its the best anti-anxiety anthistamine(however it can't replace benzos for these purposes).

hydroxyzine should be otc imo, diphenhydramine feels so shitty even at the labeled dose.
