Opioids Defeating the new OC time release

^Yeah, that sounds about right...

I've heard very differently from multiple people. Purdue has an agreement with ethex to allow them to distribute OC in return for royalties. Purdue has switched to the new formulation, however, that new formulation is under a patent and ethex cannot distribute the new formulation. Ethex can continue to distribute the old formulation, which under contract purdue has to continue making for them.. and since purdue can't give ethex the new formulation because it is patent protected, they will continue to give them the old one. Pharmacies have been able to recently order generic's from Ethex. If it was discontinued, they would not be able to do so.

All the posts in the threads I linked are from September and the end of August. The new OP's rolled out at the beginning of August and you know how quickly pharmacies "ran out of stock of old OC's", they would run out of ethex generics within a month too, but they haven't yet which is because pharmacies have been able to order Ethex's. It's a good thing :)

I can confirm this my pharmacy received about 1500 tablets of ethex oc in various strengths this week they are still making it or at the very least it is still available.

VERY GOOD to know. When I get my script this month, if I cannot find any pharmacies that have the original OC's in stock, then I am going to ask about the generic Ethex's (which I didn't know existed until reading this thread) =D
Man I love this site already and im a newbie!!

i cant begin to thank you all for your contribution to this thread, things are looking better after each post :)

Like I said in the beginning of this thread, the new OC is abuse proof and close to impossible to abuse for more than just the fact that it is very hard to extract. After I gave up on trying to break the new release, I figured I would try to solve the problem by looking for different types of solutions. This led me on my knowledge hunt, where I found out about Ethex and their deal with purdue, which led me to check up on the status of Ethex and their supply of "generics" in the face of all this OP stuff, which led to a very easy answer that couldn't be better. You can get original OC's from your pharmacy, just make sure you ask for Ethex OC's (purdue OC's distributed by Ethex). Not only is this just as good as Purdue bringing back the old formula, it's better! Generics mean (or should mean) lower prices. This works out for everyone. Now get out their and spread the word!

I'm just glad that being intelligent about this problem helped to solve it, and in a matter of weeks too :)

There's no point searching for original OC's made by purdue... the Ethex OC's are the original OC's made by purdue, just distributed by Ethex and not Purdue. Why waste your time looking for something that is going to be hard to find when you can easily find something that is 100% identical to it in every way shape and form, and even made in the same old factory that all the original OC's are made in (since the ethex technically are the original OC's), and for cheaper!

I guess I'm going to sleep with one of the chemistry professors at my school, and see if they can help me out. I'm looking through the department to find a good candidate. Desperate times call for desperate measures my friends.

I called my dealer as soon as I read this and told him about the Ethex generics. I don't think he really understood what I was talking about completely, but I told him it was worth a shot. I'm trying to use this as a way to QUIT opiates though, but I wouldn't mind giving it another go once I've been clean for a while. I'd just need a little more control.

Haha go tommyboy! I'm interested to try this freezer method, it seems promising, but luckily I got the generics when I got my script filled last week.

Two more pages of garbage....I dont get it why the loyalty too OC's? Roxys is the same fucking thing.

Because its not as easy to get those, in fact Dr's have been known to bump up doses of stronger pills (like the 80's was are discussing) and cut back on roxis in order to make it "look good" on paper.. not to mention the shortage as well.. its not as easy as you think..

ALright my turn to add my two cents. I just acquired two 40mg OP's. I knew all about them before purchasing and so did my dealer, which is why they were cheaper. Maybe I have a low tolerance and maybe i don't use oxy to get "high" instead just to battle depression, but i simply chewed up a half of one 40mg and now, 45 minutes later, I feel like i snorted 20mg of pure oxy.

Is this placebo or is chewing it up and following with some fatty foods the way to go? I mean, i am slap-happy as a fuckin big-titted ape. What's with all the fuss people? Chew the DOGSHIT outta these pills and you'll get more for your money. I mean chew and chew til the tiniest jelly-bits are just liquidized. Then chew some more. Leave it in your mouth for a long time chewing, grinding between your sharp front teeth. I feel great. Everybody knows oral Bioavailability for oxy is really good anyway.

Oh, and on top of that, supposedly this feeling is gonna last a lot longer since i can't tamper the time release effect. YAY! I think I've found the drug for me. Cheers Purdue and your not-so-addict-friendly, "abuse-proof" wonders.

Again, my two cents..

does Ethex make a generic for 40's? I sure hope so or I'm up shit creek unless I can find pharmacy that hasn't sold out of the old ones which is highly doubtful.

you'll be fine. just chew the shit outta them. i'm serious. i am so friggin euphoric right now.

Thanks for the report, Lil by Lil... Such reports are promising. As long as the time release is severely obstructed when the pill is taken orally, I think decently complete IR effects should be achieved... Making the environment of the stomach best for absorption by eating a small, fatty meal and perhaps implementing a few other boosting tricks should really have pretty decent results, I'd think...

Agreed, perhaps have a fatty meal along with some coca cola, i been hearing the acid does wonder on eating the gel and such.

I'm positive Ethex makes 20mg, 40mg, and 80mg and relatively sure about 10mg but have to double check on that last one. Ethex will not be making 15mg, 30mg, or 60mg until Purdue's current patent on those strengths expires which is years from now.

I just got a new OP80 on the cheap (like most of us)

I tried the drinking coke + eating chips between each little piece of pill

I normally just eat a half an OC80 but I took I guess about 66% of this OP80. I used a razor to chop it into fine bits (not easy) then ate a chip and some oxy then took a drink of coke and took a little more oxy, lather rinse repeat.

We'll see how it goes. Took it about 30 min ago. Should have a better opinion in about an hour.

I did the whole chew chew chew with the front teeth too.

Hopefully I'll get high but if not there's always codeine and hydrocodone. I can still get high off those if I abstain from opiates for a week or so.

I've never been an intranasal or IV user. Always oral.
