I absolutely can attest to MDMA helping me solve problems- it helped me un-emotionalize everything in my life, and realize I needed to get out of a bad relationship I had been in for almost 8 years. It also made me realize I needed to spend my time and energy with certain people who had my best interest at heart, and it's directly brought me closer to my family.
I describe MDMA as giving you a "birds eye view" of your life- you're not "in it" for the moment, you're above your problems soaring, and you can analyze what you need to do, and what matters, without feeling troubled by all of it. Kind of the way, after you work past a problem, you see it more clearly. "You can't see the forrest through the trees" etc. etc....
I don't think MDMA can get you out of a bad situation in most cases though- I think it will give you a temporary relief. Getting high to "escape" is common, but not really a healthy reason.
