have you ever bought an unknown substance, tried it, and still not know what it was?

i have... a couple years ago i bought a very plain, clear capsule with a light green colored powder(looked like it could be some kind of powdered candy). the guy i bought it off of was a shady guy who my cousin always chills with.

i took it, when to a friends house and after about 2 hours (longest its ever taken something to hit me) i started to come up. it felt like a very crude combo of mdma, mild lsd/shroom type visuals(patterning, trails; more cev's than oev's), and a weird alcohol like feeling("spins", lack of cordination, slurred speech, clouded thinking).

it had *mostly* mdma like characteristics(eye wiggles, big pupils, stimulation) but felt very dirty unlike mdma. there was little euphoria(more anxiety than euphoria or empathy), felt more psychedelic but not in a good way(felt confused about everything). and again, a feeling of being drunk or "drugged".

there was nausea but i didn't throw up. i was also quite flushed and sweating a lot(had a pretty high fever). heartbeat was also faster than mdma, which scared me and i told my friend to call an ambulance if things got worse. the entire duration was about 4 hours, followed by an mdma like crash with no afterglow. it was pretty much all around unpleasant.

to this day, i have no clue what the hell i took. i asked the guy who sold it to me and he said a "friend gave it to him at a rave". he did seem honestly sorry to hear it was such a bad experience and gave me my money back.

anybody else have experiences of weird shit being sold to them and still not knowing what it was?
 
Interesting thread. The mods on here usually don't allow "What did I take" threads but this one is a different shade of the same color it looks like. I would be interested to hear some stories as well. FWIW I think you may have eaten some PCP. http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/pcp/pcp_effects.shtml

In the name of contributing I will relate a story about my brother. One time he found some tabs in a baggy on a dance floor. He was vaguely aware that other chemicals could be put on paper but what are the chances, right? Well it took about 2-3 hours to come on and it just did. not. quit. Hours and hours after ingesting it he said he threw up out of nowhere. Just lots and lots of acidic foamy stuff. He didn't sleep for 48 hours and he said he was tripping hard. Prolly some DO-something or other.
 
I was given capsules contatining an orange crystalline substance. Half a capsule upset my stomach and made me feel uneasy...friends had taken a whole one and were tripping hard so i took the rest. initially it was very unpleasant but after reaching the plateau i was good. Effects lasted 20+ hrs...whatever it was was likely not scheduled cuz some were confiscated with other shit i got caught (and eventually charged with) and i wasn't charged with the mystery psychadellic's possession.

I've consumed bit by bit parts of a mystery pill i found badly damaged in a parking lot...l think it was either opana or oxycontin and i'm so opiate-naive 1-2mg took away my pain for hours. I took a tiny part of the mystery pill sublingually with approximately 4-5mg of a 30mg Roxi out of curiosity and i pretty quickly discovered what nodding was...never understood the allure of opiates until then. so very peaceful.

it wasn't pcp. i've done pcp several times. and this isn't a "what did i take thread", i'm just curious if anybody has any similar stories.

it wasn't sold as xtc, and i don't think it was ment to. it didn't even look like it was supposed to be xtc. it was a clear capsole with a loosely moving, light green powder. i've never seen xtc or any other substance come in such a bizarre looking pill.
 
nah man, he ment that XTC pills are always a unknown, yes most have MDMA but with other fillers. some dont even have MDMA.
 
i thought i had 2g's of C other weekend and it ended up being K. I kinda knew after i started holding onto the wall and feeling pretty wasted...
