Is this as dangerous as say mixing benzo and opiates? Keep in mind im withdrawing from benzos so Im not exactly calm in the first place. I used to take .2 bupe and now 1 mg doesnt even get me feeling good even though I have zero tolerance. Anyway are thereaputic doses (no more than 375 a day) of lyrica ok to mix with smallish amounts of opiates? (no more than 4 mg of dilaudid or 20-40 mg of oxy)? I have zero tolerance

Yes. Mixing the two is fine :) Infact Pregabalin has been known to potentiate Opiates quite well, so you should find the combo nice ;)

Just make sure you start small and then, if need be, increase little by little.

Oh, and combination questions belong in Basic Drug Discussion (for future reference).

I always start small. Just knew that benzos + opiates can be pretty risky so was wondering if the same was true with lyrica and opiates

Yeah I've just ordered pregablins cheaper cousin as a companion to the Oppies I'm used to (Trams/pods/DHC).. Though they dont work for everyone my research did find the Gaba action usually helps those (like me) with an anxiety disorder, and also they both seem usefull for withdrawal symptoms... I have onle took pregablin once at a high recreational dose (which is well above normal dose) and had a great mushy woozy time on it. I have high hopes for neurontin, and having pregablin's even better - just start at a low dose as I hear tolerance easily builds up with either :)

A friend of mine is prescribed Lyrica. By themselves they don't do much. Snorted a capsule and it really opened my lungs up though!
Wasn't aware that it was a good opiate potentiator. How many mg's would be good to potentiate say 20mg of hydrocodone?

Are tramadol and lyrica a good combo? That is what he is prescribed.

I'm prescribed Lyrica with hydrocodone and tramadol for nerve pain. My doc is pretty responsible about what he mixes, so i trust the dosage. He wouldn't dare mix a benzo with hydrocodone, even knowing my tolerance.

Remember to watch that tram 24/hour dose limit. 400mg.

careful mixing tramadol with anything. I mixed 7 50 mg of tramadol with geodon, something ive been on for years, and I blacked out and became psychotic. Apparently at the hospital i was squirting mustard on my leg and putting a piece of bread on it as if i was making a sandwich. FOr the next24 hours I was hearing voices and was psychotic. They took my blood test and found nothing in it so they gave me more medicine lol. BE CAREFUL

That's why you ask before you take ;)

Taking Tramadol and Pregabalin together is actually quite a good idea, because Tramadol can cause seizures and Pregabalin has Anti-Convulsant properties which would prevent this from happening.
But still, taking large doses (over 400mg) of Tramadol is always going to be risky and potentially dangerous and I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm taking Gabapentin (Neurontin) which is chemically similar to Lyrica with Tramadol for nerve pain. Good synergistic combo and I would definitely say the Gaba potentiates the Tram effects and since it's an anticonvulsant it also contributes some protection from seizure.

Although with no tolerance at the moment therapeutic doses are fine so less of an issue for me.

Tramadol + Pregabalin is euphoria supreme for me. Trams + Gabapentin is close. I tend to dose WAY FUCKING HIGH on Lyrica/Neurontin, though - both are euphoric by themselves to me.

Yes, Lyrica can be very euphoric on its own, I agree. The probably is once you get a tolerance it takes massive doses and it doesn't do what 450mg used to do. You need to go on breaks from it for awhile.
