Drugs in Japan/Korea

Whats up with drugs in Japan and S.Korea?
I've heard that you can find amphetamine and crystal (yaba) pretty easily in Japan, but how about South Korea?

I am also wondering about their drug culture. Is it like europe or the US where everybody is high on a stim at the clubs?
 
given the severity of japanese prisons, i would not want to find out how to get involved in the yakuza-run drug scene. I was able to buy codeine and DHC otc there, and if you look hard, you can find RC vendors still, I hear, but that's about it unless you have gang connections. I wouldn't trust anyone selling to you at a club.
 
Ok. Codeine you say, I've heard something about that. The doctors apparently prescribe you anything you want is that true?

Do you know anything more about the laws there? How are customs etc?
Can you go to jail for using or just for importing/selling?

LOL yeah right. The doctors don't prescribe shit. They're not as into overmedicating as American doctors are. You have to actually have cancer to get a decent painkiller.

The laws are extremely strict, as is customs, and you'll certainly go to jail for possession.

BTW, in japanese prison, you cannot speak to other inmates, and are forced to sit in a singular position for hours, until lights out. It's not like the relatively cushy American prisons where you can buy cigarettes. Customs is also quite thorough. They don't want you importing drugs, and neither do the organized crime syndicates that profit off what illegal drug trade exists there.

You're certainly not going to find any easy accessible stims in japan. I can guarantee that.
 
Ok that was not what I wanted to hear. I guess you're right since you've been there.
But if you look online, Japan have an estimated group of 3-4 million speed users.
Japan was the worlds biggest producer of amphetamine during WW2, and they have harsh marijuana-rules on top of that. I believe you however that it is the Yakuza who owns that trade. They shouldn't be to hard to come by or what do you think?

Japan's speed users are JAPANESE.

There's a huge difference between a businessman client and some tourist fresh off the plane. Japan is a very insular society, and their drug culture reflects that. For the most part if we didnt bring (legal, prescribed) drugs we would have scarcely gotten high at all (except for the DHC, absinthe...and also IIRC GHB was sold in headshops there?)

You don't want to deal with the yakuza as some bakagaijin. In fact, if you're lucky enough to see them, dont deal with them at all. It'll only end up badly for you.

Do you know any japanese or did you speak it when you visited?
I can imagine that would have a great impact on the percentage of a find.

i deliberately didnt know any japanese when i went in.

i read in 3 days.

i spoke it in a month.

aint that hard.
