Hey everyone, this may seem like a stupid question - because it is, but if you would be so good as to indulge my curiosity .... I just shot up a suboxone (stupid and pointless, I know) but didn't really get to where I would like to be. I was about to head to the store for beer, when I saw the bottle of 70% isopropyl alcohol on the shelf. Now I'm not going to do this, but I would really like to know if you can get drunk shooting this kind of alcohol. Also, how dangerous would it be, and how much would you need on average to get drunk, like 20 units?

Sorry, it's just my needle fixation talking lol but I'm pretty curious about this because I know some IV solutions do contain small amounts of alcohol, but I don't know if only ethanol should be injected or what. Not really able to find anything on the net so I appeal to your collective wisdom -- so thanks.
 
Yeah ive heard of people doing IV vodka... apparently burns a little, but i have a feeling it's been done.

Don't know about the isopropyl though, im not sure if you'd want to shoot that. I think that's just for cleaning stuff so if you want to give your veins a good clean... sure....
 
It will destroy your veins, eat your liver, and kill you from cns depression, and stop your heart.

That is if you inject Iso-alcohol. There is no safe way to do that.

Ethanol is not normally injected at over a 10% solution.
 
People have shot Whiskey and other spirits. Please do not shoot isopropyl, not only would it burn like a bitch, but you could die.
 
How foolish is it to inject whisky vs. injecting some kind of sterile ethanol solution? I doubt I will do this, I'm sure the powder drugs aren't doing my veins any favors as it is, but I'm curious.
 
id rather shoot suboxone... done that plenty.. except a few times I shot too much after i had been using heroin and the naloxone kicked in, went into rapid withdrawal straight away for about 30 mins.. absolutely horrible, but after that time, the buprenorphine starts to take over and everything was great...

remember he'd have to shoot a lot less than what he'd have to drink. its not doing the first pass metabolism like morphine and others like it so it'll be stronger.

on the first Steve O Don't Try This At Home video there is a section where he's hooked up to a saline bag that has 5 shots of vodka put into it, and he's hooked up to it IV drip of saline/vodka. he was pretty drunk looking/acting after the bag was empty.

Isopropyl is not the same as ethanol (drinking alcohol).
 
I'm part of the elite crowd of intellectuals who has injected alcohol. It was vodka, 80 proof, it burned and that was about it. Other than the fact that this is just a dumb idea, you can't really fit a significant amount of alcohol into a rig, so you'd have to administer a dozen or so shots in order to catch a buzz. I don't see why you couldn't do this theoretically. Off the top of my head I would say don't use the rubbing alcohol even though I have no evidence to support this. I just know you can't (shouldn't) drink it so...

Rubbing Alcohol + Root Beer = The Betty Ford Cocktail

lol the guys from motley crue used to do that when they ran out of coke. i've never done that(and i've tried some really stupid shit), but i imagine it would burn like a motherfucker. just stick to drinking it.

I read heroin diaries, and I think that happened ONE time, and I think it was just nikki, def not the whole band.

I've shot up some vodka, I used it to try to get the diazepam out of valium, I'd say I failed at it, and yes, it burns even if you don't miss. terrible and probably drying on your veins real bad.
 
I've shot alcohol, not for the sake of shooting alcohol, but because we had just scored some meth and had no water in the car. Worked fine. Shooting enough to get drunk woud take dozens of shots, maybe hundreds (I ain't doing the math) of shots. BTW isopropyl alcohol is rubbing alcohol and should not be drank, let alone shot.
