'Third' was garbage...

Anyways....Yea Portishead, IMO, is one of the most original groups of all time....

I just love the mix and contrast of the sexy, depressive, moody, euphoric, jazzy, hip hop, sounds w/ a lil turntablist action, topped with the fallen angel from heaven Beth Gibbons' vocals....Incredible....

I love Portishead! Truth be told I only have Live in NYC but it`s a fucking awesome album! It`s so chill and epic at the same time. A great album to get high as shit to if there ever was one! I need to pick up their other works.

They're decent, but they're no Massive Attack.

^ Seconded. But Portishead is still brilliant. Picked up Dummy on the suggestion of a friend, and shit man, that album is a beautiful and intense experience. I'm pretty sure I listened to nothing but Portishead for a few weeks after hearing Dummy, I just couldn't get enough of them. Have not had the pleasure of seeing them live, however :/

Yep. One of my favourite releases over the last year or so. The krautrock grooves are brilliant!

funny this thread pops up. just the other day i put up portishead, massive attack, and tricky ablums on my playlist, i think cause of this thread tho i didn't really realize it. got beak as well tho i haven't really listened to it, that will change in the upcoming days.
