Lets see your Kandy.

no doubt <3 I love my kandi :D I wear different ones day to day =) No matter what I'm always wearing that small necklace around my neck (not the binkie). It's a PLUR necklace that says "ayla" on it that my friend lollypop made for me =D It's my favouritest piece of kandi at the moment <3 That and my XTC white kandi (also made by lolly >.> We traded tons of bracelets with each other that we made.. lol)

On the more recent topic, I have never heard of actually counting the number of beads on your bracelet. You make however many to fit various parts of your hand. I generally wrap the string around my arm to get a basic size and throw on beads ;)

Now this is a good reason to wear kandi around everywhere. Especially coming from an oldskool raver, I can respect this. :)

My irritation comes from kids doing it because it's a "scene kid" thing to do. They seem to be wearing kandi as a fashion statement, instead of a representation of themselves or rave culture values. I didn't even pass judgement on them until I ended up interacting with quite a few kids who do this, and they all seem to be ignorant about the history of raves, what PLUR even means, and that there are more raves besides EDC and other massives....
 
i havent seen anyone do this before but i think its pretty cool :D

Haha! A girl at one of our first raves gave my husband a necklace with that on it! We were TOTALLY stoked when we realized what it said!

Nah, cuffs and kandi are pretty constant throughout the whole scene. I don't have a ton of kandi anymore(lots broke and given away), but I was just at a rave where people were COVERED. I'll put up a pic with how my kandi has changed since my last pic soon.

I think kuffs are definitely more popular in cali, but I see them on occasion here in Seattle. My friend made one of the MDMA molecule, and it's fucking awesome.
