The Deep thread

I get deep, I get deep, I get deep, I get deeper,
Into this thing
The deeper I go
The more knowledge I know
What to sing
What to bring

wha...

I get deep, I get deep, I get deep, I get deeper, deeper, deeper
Into the vibe
Chillin' in the corner at the shelter all by myself
Checkin it out I’m not dancin' no more but

Why? Why? Why?
Wha...

How on earth are you supposed to vibe around the fake ones?

The one, the ones that say

THEY KNOW WHAT IS WHAT BUT THEY DONT KNOW WHAT IS WHAT

They just strut

What the fuck?

I get deep, I get deep, I get deep, I get deeper,
Into this thing
And I pretend that they're not there
I just stare
Up in the booth at the dread man spinnin the song
Spinnin it strong
Slaying things like
We cannot house we can
That’s my shit
What?

Whoooooo!

I get deep, I get deep, I get deeper, I get deeper,
When people start to disappear
And it's about six o'clock
Whoo I'm feelin' hot
Take off my sweater and my pants
And I start to dance
And all the sweat just goes down my face
And I pretend that there's nobody there but me in this place

I get deep, yo I get deep

I get deep, I get deep, I get deep, I get deep,
He takes all the bass out of the song
And all you hear is highs and its like

Oh, shit!
Ahh
I get deeper

I get deep, I get deep, I get deep, I get deep,
And the rhythm flows through my blood like alcohol
And I get drunk and I'm fallin all over the place
And I catch myself
Right on time
Right on line
With the beat

and its so sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet

I get deeper
I get deeper
I get deeper

Well if house music was air
And Doctor love would be my song
And I would only take deep breaths
And fill my lungs with the rhythm or the bass

I get deep
I get deep

Now it's about three AM and I see people doin' fleeays'
Spinnin' jumpin' and grindin'
As if they had wings on their feet
Raising both hands in the air as if Jesus was a DJ himself
Spinnin those funky funky funky house beats

And in this temple we all pray in unity for the same thing
Rythmatic pause without cause
Bass from those high definition speakers
Sitting in the corner on each side of the room

Givin' us the boom boom boom
To our zoom zoom zoom

The smell of a L lit while walking by
But the music gets me high
Sanctified like and old lady in church
We get happy
We stomp our feet
We clap our hands
We shout
We cry
We dance
And we say
Sweet Lord, speak to me
Speak to me, speak to me, speak to me
Because we love house music
And on this night it brings us together
Like a family reunion every week
We eat
We drink
We laugh
We play
We stink
So for all you hip hoppers
You do woppers
Name droppers
You pill poppers
Come into our house

To get deep

wha...

To get deep

You guys just keep it rollin'

hehe - You gotta just keep it rolling :)

under the big bright yellow sun

Edit: on the topic of awesome lyrics...

As we dance to a beat that seems out of time
To the one you feel in the metronome of your mind
Does it offend you that our rhythm looks strange
Or causes you thinking to be re-arranged
Could it be that you would understand those beat to which we dance
More clearly had you been given the chance
So as you struggle to find the feel with your feet

Ask yourself…………can you dance to my beat

Watch us get down to this groove with a afro-funk feel
While we get hiiiiigh to a rhythm with spiritual appeal
Expressions of freedom from the descendants of slaves
God gives us the strength for new horizons we must breathe
First bondage than mental now financially oppressed
With this beat we dance we know we’ve passed the test
So as you struggle to catch the rhythm with your feet

Ask yourself…………can you dance to my beat

The rhythm… rhythm… rhythm… is our power section.
The freedom we feel in our soul
We dance to learn those lessons,
As our story continues to unfold
Our beats, our words our melodies, our gifts
From the givers of those gifts,
We’re merely the terminals through which they have passed

So as you struggle to catch the rhythm with your feet,

Ask yourself, can you really dance to my beat

Tell me about it! I thought this was 'the Deep thread', not the 'write your favourite lyrics in giant writing' thread :\

You fear my lack of rules, my lack of boundaries. 'Ohh its a fence, oh no its soft, aaahhh.. what's happening, the shapes, the chaos!'

Seriously though, I was high on meph when I posted that. Felt like a good idea at the time... Also, in my defense I did post a link to the song at the bottom. ;)

Do you want it? And if you had it would you flaunt it?

Jon Cutler Feat E- Man - It's yours

well it's yours

Liking this tune.

Boxcutter - Sidetrak

Breakage & Burial - Vial

Have you heard Eleven Tigers? He's still pretty underground at the moment, so there's not a huge amount of his stuff on Youtube. Definitely one to watch out for though if you like Burial. Memory Palace is absolutely beautiful.

Eleven Tigers - Stableface

Memory Palace (feat. Alice-Marie Archer) <3

i'm starting to get more into the minimal downbeat & breaks atm. Really want to get back into playing Jungle too... similar to the moving shadow stuff but very rarely hear any decent stuff these days.

my favourite used to be Omni Trio - Torn

A prize goes to anybody who can find me stuff as good as the above.

Moving Shadow is an absolute classic. Origin Unknown's early stuff is fucking awesome as well.

Yeah, good Jungle is almost non existent these days, innit? A lot of producers knock out Pendulum sounding stuff instead. :/
The most recent Jungle style track I can think of which I like has to be Ghost of Jungle Past by High Contrast.

Some of the Breakcore stuff is OK as well, I guess. Most of it is a bit too hectic for my liking though.
