E-Tardedness?

Okay, so I've been rolling a little more than I should have. I rolled 1 month before EDC (11 weeks ago), both days at EDC (7 weeks ago), 3 weeks ago, and last friday. I feel like I'm not as sharp mentally and I feel really awkward in social situtation and would often catch myself spacing out a few times during the day. I can function, for the most part. But I feel really stupid for not being able to maintain some simple conversations.

Is this what people call being E-Tarded? How long does this usually last and is there anything I can do to reduce it?

Be healthy and don't pile more drugs on top of your current mental state. You'll be back to normal in a little while. Nothing to fret over.

i know exactly how you feel i tried mdma for the first time this summer and three times since then and i feel like im gettin a little slower.... probably not but i worry about it still... i wish e didnt have such negative effects on one's brain. its an awesome feeling

Just take a break, eat healthy, sleep avoid any more stims and you should be fine.

What your feeling is normally called etarded, but some people use this expression when they cant function the following day after a session.

Yes, this is what being "etarded" feels like, and it can get far worse than what you're experiencing. This is an excellent opportunity to get your MDMA use under control =D Take a couple month break (at least once a month, but a couple months would be good for how often you've been rolling) and you'll be fine =) If you continue to do it, the etarded symptoms will get worse, loss of magic (the drug stops really working), and possible depression.

The advice given so far is spot on. The problem most people have is they think they have permanent brain damage, and, unless you're abusing MDMA for a long time, it won't happen (and I can assure you you don't have it, but then again I'm not your doctor).

If I were you, I'd simply eat healthy and not take MDMA for a good 2-3 months. In around a month or less, you will start to feel like "yourself" again. But, keep this as a reminder that MDMA abuse has bad side-effects, and in the future space your usage out to avoid potential side-effects.

Yeah I know exactly how you feel. I just started rolling valentines day out of depression and within 3 months I was extremely etarded. I could not do anything. I couldnt make desicions, I stuttered,i forgot what I was saying, made things awkeward while in social settings, and so much more. It sucks I was scared I was going to be retarded forever but I eventually went back to normal. It takes 2 weeks after a roll session for the brain to fully recover.

If it took 2 weeks rolling every 2 weeks would be safe..which it's not..so I don't know why you posted this

I feel a little etarded now as well... but i've been rolling about every 2 weeks (sometimes every other week and sometimes a couple times a weekend) for the past 7 months. I dont know if you smoke too... but when i feel out of it i just quit everything that i've been doing for a little while. I'm also a big fan of running; it seems to clear my head.

If you can get serious side effects from using MDMA five times, the geniuses who have tried rolling every week or more (you know who you are) should have ended up in a mental ward by now.

And, well, they haven't. Cut back on any other drugs you're using (including weed and booze), get more exercise and rest, and you'll notice a major improvement. This "I rolled once and now my brain is broken" crap annoys me.

I can't say I have ever experienced these effects, and I use MDMA at least 3 times a month. I even went on a 12 day long MDMA binge with my friends (which ended on day 13 with me doing acid and not using MDMA again for 2 weeks)

Good god, and you didn't feel the least bit slow after that? You either have the most resiliant brain in the world, you're lying, or you're just bad at noticing mental slowness haha

or he's taking bunk ass pills. Which would be my guess, that or lying.

I think you have been reading too many threads and are just scaring yourself. You're probably doing some sort of 'placebo' thing where you read people getting 'e tarded' and think.. "oh crap it's happening to me!"

You havent even rolled that many times, like at all. (my quick estimate)
roll # 1: you rolled
roll # 2: 1 month later
roll # 3: next day (which was very stupid, can cause brain zaps)
roll # 4: 1 month later
roll # 5: 2 weeks ish later

When people say they are "e-tarded", they are literally, retarded from e.
They will look always zoned out, kind of like they're high when they're not even high. They can't think of any words when they're trying to form sentences, and their memory is basically shot.

These are people who have actual brain damage from long-term abuse. I'm not saying you won't get damage without using it heavily, but these are mainly people who use it all the time, literally.

Maybe it's possible you already had problems (not dissing you at all), and with the use of MDMA it has amplified them. You are not even on the path of abuse (besides the two day fest, which you obviously recovered from or you would have stated heavy problems).

The general rule going on around here is a month break and your fine, a month in between and you should be grand etc. This is not the case, if you want minimum etard effects and more euphoric rolls take at least 3 MONTHS in between each dose. This is a seriously strong chemical that throws your brain off balance for a while after your roll. As i said 3 months in between, don't take the bitch way out you will feel better later.

What he said.

You really don't roll *that* much, atleast compared to me and my friends. We go hard in the summer and roll most weekends, pure mdma caps between 1 and 4 a night. If your living a healthy lifestlye otherwise (good diet, sleep, some exersize) than MDMA shouldnt have that much of an effect on you. There are tons of people who roll 2 or 3 times a week for a looooong time before they see sides.

Everyones different and maybe it really has affected you like this, but i doubt it. Remember a lot of the info on this site is very much on the safe side, and its flooded with bad experiences because the millions of MDMA users who are without problem never stumble upon this website, or bother to post "Hey guys, I roll all the time and I'm fine. Peace"

I'm gonna keep going hard for the rest of the summer, because in my head i see MDMA as relatively harmless. Mind over matter. Just take a little break and stop worrying about it.

I didn't really feel any slower. I'm pretty stupid as is. I was more or less just slightly angry/depressed for the next few days.

What exactly are brain zaps? The day after my 2-day binge at EDC, I had strong bursts of pain in my head and throughout my body that lessened in intensity over a week or two. I had no idea what they were.
