Lets see your Kandy.

I assure u that you could make that hello kitty for 10 bucks and 2 hours time. It was my gfs first attempt at kuff making. U just draw it out in graph paper then put on the beads.

I probably could, I make all kinds of crafts, I've just sadly been lacking the time and space lately. I've never made one that intricate, so I wasn't sure...thanks though :) <3

I am sorry but this is something I cannot come around on. Guys that walk around with their arms full of these little kid beads (mostly in pink and yellow) just do not look cool to me. It's personal preference, and some chicks can pull it off, not diggin the kandy on the dudes.

Okay then.... This is a thread for showing your kandy off.... Not forrrr saying you dont think guys should wear it.

You are right, just thought I'd see if others thought like me. I am not saying do not wear it, it's just something I have never liked is all.

I somewhat agree, smaller amounts such as the ones Roose posted appeal to me however the larger amounts just aren't my thing, I don't mind bracelets in general but the cuffs aren't something I'm able to catch onto so easily. However I haven't ever came across one of these while rolling before and so that may be why, however I love the whole sharing aspect of these bracelets that is something special.

I <3 dudes in kandi. As long as they aren't tryin to pull off fairy wings, it's allllll good with me haha.

guys can totally pull of kandi depending on how you do it ~.^ It's really personal preference, but I can see how the social expectation of plastic beads being associated with a girl's activity could make guys wearing kandi come off seeming "gay".

Yea I totally understand the Kandy thing atta rave etc. I think it's more of the when i goto the grocery store and see a dude all kuffed up. To me, it screams "hey look at me, I am a raver". It's kinda like the gang members that wear their bandannas and what-have you from their back pockets. I am all for the rave scene while AT a rave, but personally I like to keep the whole rave/E thing on the DL on a normal day to to day basis :)

I think that goes for guys and girls a like. Keep your party life at the party. I hate going to the grocery store at 2pm on a Sunday and seeing some strung out kid all kandi'd up ambling around like a zombie towards the juice section. Sure, some Sundays I amble like a zombie to the juice section, but at least no one can immediately tell what I was doing last night when I do so.

But that's just personal preference. My party life is sort of a secret to my professional/family life.

Where I live, a lot of high schoolers wear kandi everywhere they go. It makes them look really immature, since they seem to have missed part of the point of being a raver....The only thing they should take away from raves and integrate into day-to-day life is PLUR, and I don't see that often enough.

As far as guys wearing kandi (at raves), it shows they dedicated time and effort into making something to give away and make someone else happy, and that's just awesome. :) If girls were the only ones running around giving away kandi, it wouldn't be right.

I just made my first few kandy bracelets since I was little ( and was helping my mom make some for her friends :o)

Is it common to use about 30 beads?
I'm also bad at tying knots ;[

I personally think that wearing a little bit of Kandy everywhere I go (The ones that are special to me) Help me out in day to day life.

Like when I'm having a bad time, or I'm dealing with an asshole, I can remind myself of a good time or that the world isn't all trash like said asshole I'm dealing with.

I don't think it's immature to carry kandy around, especially if you're not one who's really worried about social status (Or that wal-mart employee looking at you funny because you're all kandied up)

If I see a kandy kid with a bunch of shit still on from a previous night, I see a potential friend, a kindred soul, usually someone I'd go up to talk to in hopes of meeting someone nice :]

yes 30 beads is the norm. if u make like 10 braclets though then you cant really wear them all because they are all the same size, so u know u make some 27 some 28 some 30 some 34, bicep bracelets make them like 36 atleast to 40.

for tying knots u just do it like the first step to shoe tieing and do it over and over and over, if your using magic stretch pull it real tight for a like 3 knots and the string knots at its thinnest (cause your pulling it) and thickens wen you stop pulling so the knots are very solid and good with magic stretch.

also vincentone get to a southern california event!!!! if you ever do i will make you a custom kuff with whatever you want on it!! :)

In between work and work @ home I've barely been able to get around. I'll be getting my own car soon but it wont help that much.
I'm wayy too ocd to have my own made kandy go past 30 ;/

I wear my kandi everywhere in small amounts because it represents my personal beliefs and morals. The rave scene was a rave movement once upon a time, and I support the notion of a world where we can all freely express who we are without judgment. I know I try to bring peace, love, and respect everywhere I go and I use the kandi as a reminder to try and be what I personally perceive as a better person.

Wearing a huge amount of it is probably broadcasting a bit much, though :\

On the more recent topic, I have never heard of actually counting the number of beads on your bracelet. You make however many to fit various parts of your hand. I generally wrap the string around my arm to get a basic size and throw on beads ;)

PLUR!!

Don't have any up close pics, though :\ I'll work on that.
