[LSD Subthread] First time LSD

Nah noat weird, different strokes man, that's crazy that you've never had trouble sleeping after E tho. Pretty much everyone I know can't sleep the night after they roll.

I also enjoy tripping on my own, even moreso than when with other people. Facing fears, learning things about yourself you never knew, What more could you ask for ?

A few things to take into account which you may need:-

Music,
Benzos [To terminate trips, not sure on the recreational value of this mixture as I enjoy valium combinations]
Cannabis [For when you start to come down, gets you in a nice sleepy daze ready to hit the pillow]
Pen and Paper [To write your TR of course! and jott/ doodle anything down that comes to mind whilst tripping]
Water [Of course, the essential item in every drug experience]
Free Schedule [You dont want anything planned, things could turn to shit, trust me :P]

Should I hide all my knives before I trip? As a safety precaution.
Also, what type of music would you suggest? And, I was wondering if it's advisable to take melatonin during the trip as it helps you sleep... Make it easier for afterwards..

+1 I did it alone for the first time. Alone at home is perfect, your at home , you got your bed if you wanna sleep or rest, your music, your computer and all your stuff for tripping.

for benzo I suggest to take them at the end of the trip or it will lower the potency of the trip.

Psytrance, Minimal, Progressive, Deep house, ambient, test some new stuff you never listen before, I have a very good streaming radio with Electronic style only http://www.di.fm/

you can listen on winamp, WMP

It'd possible to sleep while trip pin? How were the dreams???
 
If you are still significantly under the influence (ie it hasn't been more than 8 hours since dosing the LSD), I find that one cannot sleep. You will lie in bed and kind of drift through day-dreams, but not sleep per se. After about 8 hours, you can sleep, some poeple report needing sleep aids (i.e. weed, a small amount of alcohol, or a benadryl or something similarly sedating).

i havny had acid for years just dosent seem come round my waya any more ;(
 
Sleeping on LSD does NOT WORK (in my experience). You just sort of lie there as your brain gets fed through a meat grinder.

Yeah, LSD has a stimmy effect which makes sleep impossible. I wouldn't want to anyway, walls are very interesting to stare at :)

Haven't tried that actually. LSD tends (At least for me) to cause your brain to pick out patterns in things, so a nice textured wall are fun (The first time i took LSD i stared at the wall of my sitters room for like 3 hours lol). Mirrors would probably be cool with the perspective distortion though I'm sure :).

Not realy, i was just talking with a friend (I knew the friend was a pothead but i had no idea he took psychedelics) and it came up in conversation and I said i was interested. I had read the erowid stuff on it, but none of the trip reports, i didn't want to get high expectations or anything.
 
Oh ok. Hmm that makes me feel weird cuz I research every substance I put in my body lol.
Would you recommend a solo trip for the first time? Or is that a recipe for a bad trip?

Yeah, I didn't prepare a lot for lsd, it was my first psychedelic ever so i really had no idea. I would recommend a experienced sitter for the first time, but what other psychedelics have you done? Solo trips are fun, more introspective.

Artex ceilings and fluffy rugs are a winner =)

Unfortunately my psych experience is pretty limited :|
Ive had MDA (by accident), salvia, weed and nitrous. Nothing amazing. LSD will be my first as far as I'm concerned because the ones I've tried are pretty mild.:\
Ive also rolled, but despite the classification, I don't feel that MDMA is really a psychedelic. Definitely belongs in the stim category.

LSD is quite different from those definitely. A more involved experience for sure (6-12 hours usually), those drugs are usually quite temporary. I plan a day for lsd.
