Question about etiquette in drug deals

I don't score on the street, I get all my green from the same guy, but I've known him for years and years and he always weighs it out, gives it to me to pick a random bud from a random bag to sample, and then I give him the money. Hell there are more than a few times and he or I have been so high that no money exchanged hands until the next day when he called me realizing what had happened.

When I have had to score at raves or concerts, I'll keep the right amount of money in my hand and only show it or exchange it when I see or try some product. Not in the mood to get robbed.

i always get my stuff before i give them the money and i make sure to only have the exact amount needed for what im buying...ive seen soooooo many people get beat by giving the money first...im all set i would have a panic attack if i got screwed like that.

from experience, if i knew the dealer, and was a "regular",they would even front it to me. but otherwise, like i said earlier, if i was a regular it didnt really matter becusae they always had the same grade and amount,so it was all good

No paying in advane. This is a huge no no unless you absolutly trust and know the person well. This is common sense with any drug really not just "hard" drugs like cocaine, meth and heroin or other opiates. If you have to get someone to pick up your gear go with them or no deal done unless you absolutly trust this person and know they won't rip you off.

For weed and hash it's helpful to have a scale with you as weed dealers are the worst for short counting you or atleast thats been my experience in the past. As for cocaine i never buy off someone i don't know unless i test it first. Sorry im not paying $60-80 per gram for shit coke that is mostly cut

when you coppin on some hot ass block you dont sit there like, no give me the dope first! its just however you hand it off. you do it at the same time, or watever. when you deal with your regular guy you aint gotta worry about that shit. they trust u, to some extent and u trust them that same amount and you know neither one of you wants to fuck it up so it aint some kidn of "no, you first" thing.

Exactly - well said. I'd much rather get screwed out of the cost of a day or two's supply through someone pulling a fast one on me than to linger around too long over this "etiquette" shit and draw unnecessary attention to my car or my man. My dealers trust me well enough to know that robbing me once would be a bad move on their part, as the future cash flows would be lost. And this is the case for a lot of steet-level dealing. In all honesty, I've never been done wrong copping like this. I've gotten bad product, sure, but there is never an issue with the actual exchange. Neither side wants the transaction time to be anything but the fastest and simplest possible.

You deal with the same guys day after day sometimes more than once a day. you more likely to see them than you are to see your friends on any day during the week. Not only do you know that he aint fuckin with you cuz you a good customer, but he knows that you need him, and that you aint goin nowhere. the relationship with a junkie/hood dealer is different than most people wtih the handin over the money only after the dope thing....once you established you just hand it off any way you can and get the fuck out as quick as u can manage.

When you cold coppin tho and you goin to someone for the first time its usually a lil slower becuz you do take a quick look over your bags to make sure it at least looks like the right amount first, a experience junkie will be able to look at a bundle in 2 seconds and know if its 10 bags or not. But the dealers sell so much all day that they can afford to take a L of 20 or 30 bucks here and there and the junkies so desperate to get in, cop, and get out safe, that they will hand over the dough first to avoid a standoff of "no you go, no you go first, no give me the money, no you give me the dope" type shit and get rolled up on by the TNT boys. it aint nothing like the usual type of deal.

After u cop in the hood...any other type of deal u do seems easy and safe when u compare it. when u used to that kind of shit, goin to somebodys house to pick up a bag of weed aint really some stressful kinda shit....not really the thing u gonna be worryin about who hands over wat first.

Exactly! After getting the hang of coppin in the hood, especially cold coppin, everything else doesn't seem so bad anymore. Copping in the hood sucks cause you gotta be quick as hell, you can't be sittin on the block arguin with the corner boy over who gives what first. That's why I always roll up and let them see the money in my hand, but keep it at a safe distance if they try some slick shit. Usually when they see u got money they will hand u the shit and its done with.
