Hi, I'm a very inexperienced drug user. I've only smoked weed like 4 times in my life, though I drink a lot of alcohol and take benzodiazepines often.

Recently I thought I would just try something like codeine out, so yesterday I took 90mg of codeine (it's codeine only, 15mg per pill). After 40 minutes, I had weird feeling, I notice my heart rate was a bit faster, but the main thing I noticed was that my head was... kinda... pulsing... it's hard to describe, it was like when you bite down your teeth really hard, or if you have a slight headache.

Just wondering if this is normal, I'll probably try out 210mg today, I just take the pills and swallow them, is that ok too?

The first time you try a substance, or a group of substances (opiates, benzos, weed) rather you're probably gonna experience a bunch of feelings that you're not used to. Opiates like any drug effect a lot of people in a lot of different ways. For instance I get headaches pretty regularly whenever I use opiates, but I know a lot of people who don't.

At the dose you're at (90mg) I wouldn't expect the effects to be too intense. You're obviously not allergic so I would say up you're dosage and just see where it takes you. Codeine's pretty mild as opiates go so don't be worried. You said you drink a lot and take benzos... Even though codeine is mild I wouldn't combine any of these while you're still "getting to know" this substance. I don't think you'll turn blue or anything but my guess is nausea could occur, which could easily ruin your night.

yep, it usually takes a few experiences with a new class of drugs tp "get them". strange reactions you had though, i can't explain them

thats some good advice there too. you don't want to be under the influence of any other drugs while trialling the codeine out as they'll impede the high and you'll find it hard to distinguish whats what.

you definitely want to avoid any other CNS depressants such as booze, benzos or any other opiates either to avoid getting nauseated and ruining your fun.

i'd try upping your dose to around 150mg, making sure to cold water extract the pills to avoid overdosing on acetaminphen (apap) which is nasty on the liver. you don't want to exceed 4000mg/day.

New! - Cold Water Extraction Mega Thread & FAQ if you're unfamiliar with a CWE

I didn't think about mixing it yet. And I didn't think I need to cold water extract the pills - it's just codein, it's not some pain pill or anything. The package is called codein, and in a 15mg pill there is -
14,36mg codeini dihydrogenphosphas hemihydricus and some monohydrate of lactose and other stuff, so water extraction shouldn't be needed right?

Thanks guys.

Actually codeine is a "pain pill". That and morphine are the two naturally occuring opiates that you get from the latex of a poppy plant.

codeini dihydrogenphosphas hemihydricus- the nomenclature here is way over my head. This is all just in reference to one substance? I'm assuming you're not in the USA for a couple reasons: A: I've only ever seen codeine packaged with an NSAID (Tylenol T3's, T4's etc.) stateside. And B: The spellings and suffixes you've used in reference to this drug aren't registering at all with me.

How is there 36mg in codeine in a 15mg pill? Forgive me if I'm a little confused here man. You should do more research on the pills that you've got here, because you may find that a cold water extraction is in your best interest.

^^^^
agreed even if u think there isnt anything in them just be on the safe side plus they hit u faster and harder than popping in my opinon

No, I'm not in the usa. The codein I've got is one you get with a prescription, for a bad cough. I didn't say there's 36mg in a 15mg pill - I said there's 14,36mg in a 15mg pill -> maybe I should have written 14.36 ... the 0.64mg left is Lactosum monohydricum ,Solani amylum ,Gelatina ,Talcum ,Magnesii stearas.

he said there's 14.36mg in each tablet. some people use a "," instead for a decimal point.

there are also definitely codeine only formulations available; i get pure 30mg codeine tabs for breakthrough pain on top of my oxy and tramadol.

codeini dihydrogenphosphas hemihydricus

Sounds like a dihydrocodeine formula in either spanish or portguese...

Fluxor, are you based in a spanish speaking country? Because if what you've got is dihydrocodeine you need to take a lower dose than you would with ordinary codeine....its significantly stronger.

I'm in central europe, czech republic. I don't think it's dihydrocodein, because that's only sold at 60mg pills and higher I think.

codeini dihydrogenphosphas hemihydricus is just Codeine Dihydrogen Hemihydrate or something (basically just a form of salt, possibly, that the Codeine's made into).
It will be the equivilent of 15mg Codeine Phosphate or something like that.
Some forms of Codeine have a slight potency variation to other forms :)

No CWE is needed at all no :) And the symptoms you mentioned are strange, but I don't think there's anything to worry about ;)
Hope it passes anyway!

Do they sell dihydrocodeine over the counter in czechoslovakia? =DLucky bugger you are if they do, in 60mg pills. Its well stronger than codeine, I'd go for those & take less.

2 60mg tabs of DHC will have you well buzzin.

they're manufactured from a pharma company. i dont react well to apap or ibuprofen.

they're mainly prescribed to people with diarrhea prominent irritable bowel syndrome.

first times on opiates are a bit strange.. 210mg will definately give you more of an idea of what an opiate high is

TAKE an anti-histamine (eg. benadryl) 30 minutes prior, coz codeine makes u mad itchy, it can kindof kill the buzz

try not to make it a habit

enjoy

hey,

Im in Prague right now. is there "anything" recreational you can get otc here? like codeine+aspirine+x+whatever they put in there?

maybe even some otc benzos?
