Ok guys just to let you know this doesnt always happen tome when I take adderall only when I take the xr for some reason. I can take 30mg ir with no problem at all but if i even take 20mg xr my heart gets all wierd. I guess this time I accidentally took 2 750mg tums without thinking because I had heart burn like 2 hours b4 my dose. This was completely non intentional. Any ways I really do not feel any bad symptoms when I am sitting down my heart rate is right round 60-70 bpm actually pretty good. But as soon as I stand up to use the bathrooom or grab a soda(just to kind of off set the tums a lilltle bit) my heart starts to beat at like 140bpm :! I guess everyones heart beats faster when they stand and start moving. Also it seems that when i sit down from a standing position my heat will beat like 1..2..3......4 and the fourth beat seems a bit harder. I guess this would be considered an arythmia which alot of people experience on this shit and is usually harmless. IDK I am probably just trippin out but I wanna make sure that I am not the only 1 who has experienced this. Thanks guys I appreciate the help.

BTW the 1..2..3.....4 thong LOL:p only lasts for like the first minute I sit down then all goes back to normal PEACE

Amphetamines can do this. That's why I don't use them anymore. Back when I a freshman in high school, back in 2002, I was prescribed Adderall XR for ADHD (I didn't really have ADHD) and we were all playing basketball in gym and I literally just collapsed due to heart related side effects of the Adderall. Haven't touched 'em since.

You may just be paranoid. You'll be fine I bet.

Amphetamines caused the same thing to me, I got really bad orthostatic hypotension on vyvanse. Also caused sinus arrhythmia which to luckily stoped when i got off of it.

What your having is not a big deal but getting on a lower dose may help

That's why I quit adderall. The negative side effects (heart palps, the comedown, etc.etc.etc.) far outweigh any positive feelings or effects you get from it IMO. That's just my opinion though.

Not to mention it can actually be dangerous for some people. Someone could have an underlying heart condition & never know it, then get on adderall or another amphetamine and run into a serious issue then. Especially if you start over-exerting yourself while on amphets. There's a reason they've put a Black Box Warning on that drug.

I often times get these effects, but only when I stand up to fast or something like that, not at rest. Myself and many other will testify that extended release formulations of stimulants can really put you in a geeked out way, I don't understand the science behind it so to speak but I've definitely lived it. I would take IR over XR/ER any day, it just works better imo.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but taking the antacid with an Adderall XR wouldn't really potentiate the effects because XR is mostly dealt with in other parts of the digestive tract... I think the intestines.

If I concentrate really hard on what my heart is doing while I'm on speed, paranoia can set in, and when that odd beat does eventually come I might freak out. As I've done more and more over the years though the fear of having a crazy heart episode has subsided completely as I realize that's probably not a realistic fear

Because your blood pressure rises when you stand from a resting position..

And it's amphetamines.
it's not raised it's low blood pressure

standing up, the circulatory system has to catch up, as you stand and the circulatory system is a little behind, blood goes downward aka out of brain aka you see spots and feel dizzy aka orthostatichypotension

Ok OK lol I understand it's amphetimines. To be honest I am not experienced what soever to the effects of amp so I have no clue how they "should" make someone feel besides the euphoria. Now opiates, well, I guess I have become a little too familiar with those.LOL
