Yes 6th is my favorite too. 4 & 5 my least favorite.. I don't like when people stick their tounges out it reminds me of kiss and I can't friggn stand Gene Simmons.

6 also has a more natural pose, you're not trying to be sexy in it like in 1 & 2 and I just like the way your face is facing the camera, really pretty. So six all the way!!!!

You can scrap 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 lol. And please don't get mad you said you needed help picking =] The rest are just too myspacey.

PT, I like number 8!! Way too cute <3

kc, I want your crocodile! =D You're looking fabulous as always my dear <3

J&H I finally figured out who you remind me of! Darren from Miami Ink:

(that's a good thing by the way :))

beret - prototype one
!

well, i started hand stitching some "bias tape" 2cm wide i cut from scraps left over, for reinforcement and show... but the shit poly-felt pulls away from the stitching!
so i got a 72"x 72" piece of very thick grey cotton, i could probably make 12 berets with it, maybe 15 if i made 5 child sized ones...
i am in love with these perfect little hats...
i need to devote at least an hour to making cuts tonight.

i have enough of this material for three maybe four skirts. i guess, from what ive been learning this is a sheer rayon81% wool19% gabreden, very very thin fading subtle copperish brown, 3 tones a few shades lighter of single threading creating a stretched plaid affect with a "gold dusting".
the darker of the two crepe materials is what will be the lining, this one feels like four layers of silk, medium gloss, i only have enough of this for three skirts...
the other crepe shown, is really smashing, it feels like three layers, and i just noticed after having it a couple weeks, that it has a pearl like reflective luster, in the shades of blues, purples, silver, and the white of the light.
this drapes and grabs/rests with the curves of the body, this is begging for very thin straps, this perfect lace i have used sparingly, and some clever minimal reinforcing and shirring at the bust.

this next one is the likes of exactly what ive been wanting to work with. i could get one skirt, and maybe a small matching "clutch purse", or a small bag with a very particular strap, or small white handles.
i call it my "robbins egg" material, feels like rayon63% polyester25% nylon12%. the back side of it feels fairly thick, like a brushed micro-suede. this does not seem like it needs a liner, or it would be a wast and costly to use a similar textured material.
it makes me jealous, if i was a girl, this stuff would be for me personally.
;)

.... don't mind the long hair, and it's kinda dirty....
but these berets are the most awesome.

If you cut off the flash, they look really nice as just a regular beret. They're 100% wool, so new ones need to be shaved and wet-formed. This one is rather crumpled, but I can get them to smooth out pretty easy.
They will shrink, so be careful when wet-forming them! :\

Nice, I will have to show my hubby when he awakens. He just acquired a badass M1 a few months ago. I am in love...

I have a badass M1 Garand too.
(with bayonet)
=D

I'll take pics of that one soon.

Here's one more....

mmm, nice, nice. I tried to message you back but it wont let me til I hit
bluelighter status. Sucks cause I been here for a year but I mostly lurked til recently.

But to answer your question. I live right outside Orlando. Born and raised and hate it too. lo. Nice to meet you.

Yeah.... wool can be pricey.
I dunno exactly what kind of wool the Army berets are made of.

to get them "to standard" when they're new, first yeh gotta shave it. literally. use the cheap disposable razors, and get as much fluff off it as possible. Shaving not only makes it look better, it also makes it easier to wet-form it.

when it's shaved well enough, yeh soak it in lukewarm water, let the excess drip off, and then stick it on yer head, still sopping wet. then yeh can make it fold over like it's supposed to, instead of looking like a "pizza" beret. wear it until it's gotten pretty well dried, and put it on something round that approximates yer head.
I've shrunk two of those berets by not wet-forming them right, yeh just gotta put up with a cold & damp beret on yer head.

yeh. fuckin' a. when california breaks of to go hang with hawaii, florida should go too. or just sink. oh, wait.... 8)
I'm goin' back to Colorado (or Michigan) asap. this place sucks huge hairy fly-infested sweaty donkey nut-sack. :\

haha everyone has a different opinion...
but yeah the ones with glasses and the smiles...
thats me.

Up late tonight. Not feelin to great.
The less pills I pop the more I drink.
PT needs to work on that...

P.S. I know NOTHING about wool or hats or fashion for that matter. :D

yeh don't need to. just cause we're geeks about that shit.... pffft.

likker sucks, smoke bud instead. seriously. if yeh gotta do something, at least herb doesn't make yeh into a drooling, shambling, surly PT.

someone might mistake you for a zombie.
headshot! POW!
;-D

this stuff gives me an anxiety attack when i think about it... its been stashed away since taking the pictures. 1one1(one shot)°¡1!°~yard of the faded canary/ferrari yellow double embroidered silky but forming synthetic, the embroideredment is along either side. the store has no more, and idk if they will again, so i may have this material for a year or more haha.
the other is black "onion skin", opaque in odd sporadic small splotched strips, stretches one direction, taught the other; this is common material.

^ Beautiful BTW

hehe you got a lol with the zombie comment.

Never go looking for zombies outside a bar! You can't tell the difference!

The really the difference is legality. Period. And with just on the verge of my B.A. piss tests are mandatory for EVERYTHING. And after a hard days work doing demo and clean up in this HEAT and HUMIDITY, I want a BREAK, yay know.

I had a ton of vintage/old embroidered trim strips.... I think they were mostly from curtains & robes. but there was a few yards of one that was silk, lace, AND embroidered. dunno what it came from, but oh well.

never got to use any of it.

That's what I call a "target-rich enviroment".

yeah, it really sucks when you wave your hand in in the air, and it leaves a wake.

If you want a break, and will come up clean on a UA.....
There's always LSD and/or sleep-deprivation!
=D
