DXM is marketed as an over the counter cough suppressant, but chemically it is an NMDA receptor antagonist, like Ketamine and PCP. And btw, it was a long onset time. I am definitely starting to feel it now.

So, if you are something of a psychonaut then you might not mind taking ten times the recommended dose. Don't worry, the company is protected from all liabilities since they print out very clear instructions on their label. And DXM is pretty safe stuff. But do your research. Read up on erowid.org.

What it basically comes down to is finding a brand of cough suppressant that does not have other chemicals like antihistamine (which can be VERY dangerous in high doses) or expectorant (maybe not that dangerous? but who wants to take chances). Find something that has ONLY dextromethorphan Hbr.

As I posted earlier, the brand I found is called Select Brand Cough Control.

They are liquid gels with 15 mg of DXM per capsule, and NO OTHER ACTIVE INGREDIENTS. That is KEY to having a good roll and not OD'ing on some stupid shit like antihistamine which can be very toxic.

Middling dose (300 mg) ended up triggering a kind of referential mania that I am predisposed to, but which I am so accustomed to by now that I can actually get a lot out of it. Had an amazing conversation with a friend who could relate to the strange experience.

Really need to try to push through to third of fourth plateau, and get to the actual archetypal beings behind all of the strange activity I experienced tonight.
