Dxm extraction question!

I searched and couldn't find the answer to my question so I'm posting a thread. How could I extract dxm from mucinex dx max pills. They contain 1200 milligrams Guaifenesin and 60 milligrams DXM.

you can do a standard acid base extraction however when exposed to solvent the mucinex "gums up" because its a time release matrix for one.. your yield will be icky

Even if you successfully complete the extraction, your powder will look like yellow dog snort because of the Guaifenesin. Now, like the other gentleman said, get a cough syrup without Guaifenesin. You said it's not an option ATM, well in that case all you're left with is to throw that shit down the toilet because you ain't getting anything out of it.

Get something without Guaifenesin. End of story.
